^ Would getting a rebuild better than upgraded starter ??
Im pretty sure its the starter. When the car sits for a long time like overnight it turns over very slow. Before it would turn over fast. Engine is like 20k old. Ignition is 20k old and battery is yellow optima about 2 years old as well.
So im pretty sure its the starter.

Car starter is an electrical motor and motor runs fine when its cold.
When the motor is defective, its either it won't turn or it will slow down when it's get hot.
Rebuilding a starter(motor) doesn't change the rated speed because they will only replace the coil winding of the same wire size.
It will work the same with the new one assuming its done properly.
They will also rebuild the solenoid because most of the time its the culprit.
I think its your battery not fully charge.
