ON Trade Intakes???

Is anybody up for trading intakes? I have the K&N Typhoon V.2 intake, installed less than a year ago. Wouldn't mind changing things up by swapping to an AEM or MS CAI.

I enjoy this intake but I wouldn't mind trying something else out. It's a fairly loud intake, slightly less efficient than the MS and AEM CAI because it sucks in a lot of hot air from the engine bay, especially when idling. It is quite loud compared to the other 2 from what I hear.

Let me know if anyone is interested, pic of the intake in my sig.

I'm in the Whitby area.

I might be interested because I am afraid to use my AEM intake in the winter once it hits.

But cant I just remove some of the piping off the AEM intake and put the filter in my engine bay for the winter and make it a short ram?

The piping in the engine bay is 1/2" bigger than the S-piping going to the filter so you would have to get another piece of piping to fit the filter there. I'd also get a smaller hi-flow filter since the AEM/MS filter is quite large.

Does the filter freeze? I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a truck before the winter. I was going to just takeover an expiring lease on some pimping ride like an Escalade or Range Rover, but I don't know if I want to throw away 900 a month.

I'm interested in swapping with Hackdss, if PaQuiN doesn't want the AEM CAI, I have the same K&N Type II as he does.

My 8 is to be stored away in the winter time so I'm not too worried about it.

Let me know....

I didn't survive... hence I took it off and it's stored in a box now. I am not selling guys sorry.. I'm waiting for the day when I can afford a beater so I could drive the 8 as a summer car only and put the MS CAI back on.

If you want to know more about MS CAI in the winter, search the posts I started. I have extensive knowledge and information on its usage in BRUTAL Toronto winters.

Anyone that runs the AEM or MS CAI in the winter and gets stuck/fuked because of it has had their fair warning and I won't be running out to save anyone if that is the reason. Not being mean, but come on there has been fair warning to those peeps that want to run it in the winter. Footman and I didn't have the warnings we are sending out. Wish you luck with it to those that want to run it.
