Love this event.. it was good getting to meet some of you guys this year... I'm the girl with the winning blue 8 with the carbon fiber hood and blue/black wheels. This is the 6th year I've been to this even but it's the first time I've met so many other 8 owners. Can't wait to see you all again next year.

What a great time we had as well, thanks Phil and ALL of the volunteers for making this event happen.. So much rotary, so little time. This was my first year making it down to DGRR and I have to say that I will be back next year for sure! While the only mod I came away with this year was a persistent check engine light, maybe next year the clutch will be mine! Learned a bunch and had a great time meeting people. Managed to snap a few pics of my Lucy by the waterfall near the Dragon's entrance. See you all next year!

It was awesome to meet everyone down there. It was also good to put some faces and names to screen names.
Thanks so much for the great event. I'll be there for sure. My dad had a blast as well. He's not a rotary convert (yet), but he giggled every time my car or someone else's shot out a fireball.

Second and first place.
I had a freaking blast. Just got home. I fixed my lip bracket and stayed to do the dragon on Monday. Finally got to do it with no one in front of me the whole way. My new tires are broken in, my new Autoexe lip is broken in (Hit a friken huge rabbit), happy to get third place considering my car is still mostly in winter mode and it was nice meeting all of you. It was my first time but not the last time!
I'll post pics tomorrow when I have some time to dump my cam.
My car was loud enough to represent with with 7crew too! lol

Got back at 11 pm last night after a fabulous meet! 1775 miles in total, including about 500 miles on a bunch of the best fun roads in the USA. Thanks first to the organizers plus Ron, owner of the Village (who was also a great source of info on "secret" routes in the area). A big +1 to Wendy and Steve for hosting me overnight in Cincy on the way down. Loved meeting so many of you, but wished I could have met those I didn't get a chance to meet, 'cause you're all "good folk". You'll also know a lot of stuff and it was great to see your cars and hear your ideas. My build isn't finished (are they ever) but considering the 41 tasks completed over the winter, I was really happy with how my mods worked out and even happier that nothing fell off since the car had only been run 30 local miles before heading south. Many highlights, but one has to be the run down a mountain on a closed at one-end-road at "Ludicrous Speed" between ChadD and Ryan (both won trophies that night - congrats!). The sound bounding off cliff walls of 3 lightly-muffled rotaries running 6k-9k rpm was fantastic! Chad's fireballs coated the front of my car with soot (which is the only kind of drek that doesn't show on BB!) and he earned a RX-8 merit badge by melting his plastic exhaust surrounds. I came away with a new sense of respect for how good these cars really are. Fun times!
