3 Strakes ... Better than 2?
Fellow enthusiasts-
In developing a 3 strake set for customers, I decided to do some test fitting today.
Here you can see our standard finished strakes on my VR 8. Personally, I really like the look. What do YOU think?
You can order these through RX8Fun here if interested:

Thank you for posting these 3 strake pics . Question - are those the aluminum finish? Looks that way to me and the softness looks better than the OEM strakes in my opinion, but then again I haven't been a strakes fan until I saw Shockas gunmetal ones tonight.
Thx!

Thanks for the feedback folks. In experimenting with using the original strakes, I found this was the only pattern that allowed for good fitment without the need to totally re-design a new bottom strake. Due to the support in the vent opening, it would be necessary to move the bottom strake down about 1" below where you see it in the pictures. This unfortunatey carries the rear tip into the door-fender gap and does not look good at all. The curvature of the fender there is different enough to cause a significant gap to exist between fender and strake as well. There clearly are limitations given the small fender area available (unlike the SLs and Crossfires) with which to work. A third strake would need to be custom built to try and find some compromise mounting to evenly distribute the strakes across the vent. Some would surely like the compromise, others surely not. While there is merit in that symmetry, there is also merit in this slightly asymetrical look. Some will like 3, others just 2. Some will need symmetry, others will need asymmetry. We will consider all of your feedback and please know it is appreciated.
