MS Suspension Rear Sway Bushing Upgrades?

I really appreciate you getting the front bushings for us for those with the Mazdaspeed suspension setup. Any chance you could get whiteline to do a run of some bushings for the rear sway bar?

Tell me this, and pardon my ignorance on the subject, but does the Mazdaspeed rear bar come with bushings? Reason I ask is because it's like 17.5mm right? Which I thought would be enough difference from the 16mm OEM bar that you can't use the OEM bushings. Or can you?

At any rate, I think I can get some from another company (who actually makes a lot of Whiteline's bushings) in 16mm and 18mm rear sizes. It's just a matter of what you'd need, and seeing how many I have to order to make it economical.

Regards,

Phil

No, they still use the stock bushings.

Ah, thanks for the info. I will see about getting some 16mm and 18mm ones to try out, and whichever works better with the MS bar perhaps we can sell. It'll probably be a few weeks, but I'll get going on it.

Regards,

Phil

Do you have the ones for the front mazdaspeed sway bar in stock? Do they still use the stock clamps? I would also be in on ones for the rear if you can get them.

Fronts are readily available. See here: https://www.rx8club.com/driven-performance-equipment-98/weve-got-bush-back-stock-whiteline-your-front-swaybar-97088/

I think I still have 5 sets available. Yes, they use the stock clamps. It helps that the OEM bar, the MS bar, and the Whiteline bar are all 27mm. So Whiteline just made the bushings they include with their bar into a bushing kit, and now you guys can get some quality poly bushings for your OEM or MS bar.

And if anyone is wondering what the difference in swaybars is if they're all 27mm, the answer is that the metallurgy and wall thickness (I think) on the MS bar is different, and the Whiteline bar is solid rather than hollow. Just an FYI.

The MS bar is 27.2mm vs 27mm for stock also the MS bar has a .5mm thicker wall. The Whiteline bushings are a perfect fit.

I love the front bushings, and if you can get the same for the rear that would be awesome.

Working on it; MIGHT be able to get a hold of some 16mm and/or 18mm ones in the near future, but not certain yet. I'd assume 16mm would be preferable on a 17mm bar like MS, so we'll probably try to go that route first. Hope to know something by the end of the week, but everyone in this business is at SEMA except me , so it's taking awhile to get answers.
