Just wondering if people who had info from the dealers saying their cars will be delivered on the 05/12/2003 have any firm updates. My car is on the same boat as you, and Chris T from Mazda does not know where the boat is!!!!!!!!

Same date given here. My car will be at dealer week beginning 8 Dec... (so I guess they're really getting them on the 5th)..

I asked my dealer last week and he said that was the date they expected the car - so probably within a week or so of then it would be ready...

Plan to pester them so much that they get it sorted asap after they get it!

My date was originally the 5th December, but on calling the dealer the other day, he said it was "still" the 25th November. Muppets. Accept it. They have no clue. Until it arrives and they call you, nothing they say is worth listening to.

Apparently the boat with my car is docking late November and dealer needs the car 3 weesk to prepare, so mid December for me.

Hmmm, I wonder - maybe its just that we've responded first, but so far all the 5/12 people are in the South... I wonder if all our cars are on the same boat - and where it docks ...

Absolutely. Still no word about my car due on the 9th of November. 'I'll definitely call you on Monday' said my dealer. Shall we guess if he did children?

I've no reason not to believe my dealer. He hasn't once given me a missed or false date, or tried to suggest my car would be here earlier than expected. I was always told Nov/Dec, then my letter arrived quoting December, and now my dealer says they will have the car week starting 8th Dec. When I spoke to him at the weekend, he said that the actual PDI only takes about half a day, but it's allocating that time in the workshop, along with the other new arrivals, plus day-to-day servicing that takes the time..

He suggested that there was a possibility of seeing the car by the end of that week, so I'm happy with that.

Edo - Could be from port to me...but you seem to be rather tightly wound at the moment. Must be the wait.

Mine was 5th December ... now expected at dealer 30th November (as of 10 days ago). My guess is that the ship hits Rotterdam mid November (30th September production date ... a couple of weeks from then to a boat leaving Hiroshima ... 30 to 34 days transit time to Rotterdam).

Two weeks from arriving in Rotterdam to getting to the dealer is about right (maybe even a little conservative as my dealer thought it was 7 days), so all being well we are all in for a treat by actually receiving our cars first week in December

Got my positive head on today!!

Certainly am - fed up of being outright lied to by dealer, and Mazda UK. Fed up of dealing with apathetic Sales people and sales people who know nothing about the products they sell (This is directed generally at a whole host of car sales people I have dealt with recently and in the past, and not necessarilly all the ones in the present dealerships I am dealing with...). Not to mention the inability of people to even return a phone call.

Note also please that only Edo posts are mine, and not those with ED0...

Ed

Sorry for the stroppy post - having bad day yesterday, including having my phone stolen by some ******.

What delivery month did it say in the letter from Mazda?

Mine said November, spoke to the dealer two weeks ago and they said they where expecting it 5/12/03!!!!!

Not very happy but they checked the system again and Mazda had changed the delivery date to 25/11/03, I presume they had realised that the letter said November and pushed the car through quicker.

If they say November you should get it November, if it says December then should be December, but as we have seen some cars are coming through early.

My dealer mentioned that the delivery date can change by a couple of days either way depending on the route the transporters take.

What irrates me is the fact that they are telling customers cars will arrive at some dealers on the 25/11/03, but they do not know where the boat is, if cars are going to arrive for the 25/11/03 the boat must surley have docked at Rotterdam?, it only leaves 14 days to clear through customs and expection? Please tell me if I am wrong or out of order, but I think Mazda have once again screwed up???. My dealer was going to call me on the 18th with a registration no, so he must be thinking that the car will be there that week - somehow don't beleive it. Enough of the bitching - going to go and bash my head against a brick wall due to Frustration, Mazda are sending me bonkers!!!!!

I ordered at the end of February. My dealer said my car was due in Rotterdam on the 25th November and would be another 2 weeks before I got it, so the 5th December there abouts is when I expect it. They have been pretty good so far.

I got my registration number in October.

See once again, we have so many contrasting stories. If my car does not reach my grubby hands by the end of November, will be looking for some serious compensation from Mazda UK, and a discount on accessories will not be acceptable.

I was told that the 25th November date that is so common is "date to dealer"??

So far my dealer has been pretty straight with me - and *seems* a nice guy. I'm going there on Friday for another test drive so I will see if he can give me a 'definitive' answer ?! (chances???)

My dealer originally told me it was due to arrive in Rotterdam on 26th November, so I should have it two weeks after that (would take two weeks to get from Rotterdam to UK). When I had my test drive last week, I was then told that it appears the dates they have are the dates the dealer will have them, not the date it arrives in Rotterdam (he wasn't sure, but that seems to be the case so far !!!!!!)

When I rang on Monday, I was told that it should still be with them on 2th November (in fact, some are arriving 48 hours early), but it will take 4 days to prepare, and 5 days for any accessories to be fitted !!!

hmmm. As with everyone here, I wish they could just tell us a date..

Yeah, I ordered blue with leather, but no sunroof or satnav at the beginning of July, so again, no where near as long as some people.

I am still being told an arrival date of 26th Nov, but it concerns me the number of days to prepare and add accessories. I was interested in your post, as you got yours early, so was kinda hoping it would be the same for me :D

Ahhh, now I was told that it was the date the ship arrives at Rotterdam... which seems more logical to me.... but what do I know.
