Autocar Review
Autocar reviewed the 350Z this week and gave it top score with the RX8 a little below.
The 350 has in gear times that beat a Boxster S I am beginning to think I dont need a back seat!

Yeah, Autocar aren't exactly in love with the '8 - which makes them something of an odd man out compared to the rest of the British press. And the Z does have a beast of an engine, there's no denying it. ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you want to see an 8 against a Z on the track, watch the video in this thread:

All the cars in the race are modified, but they're roughly equivalent mods from what I can gather so it probably still makes for a reasonable comparison. As expected, the Z dominates on the straights but the 8 is dramatically more nimble on the corners. The Accord is the real star of that race though IMO.

We do get the accord type R here. I can't remember exactly, but it is about 220 hp from memory. Big car though, so must weigh a bit. Most of the Accord R's I've seen are black.

We are also not going to get the new 2.2L engine in the S2000 and there is still no sign of the current Integra-R ever making it over here.
Kind of puts into perspective our grumbles about Mazda not giving the European market enough priority. We may have to wait a few more months than US/Japan for the 8 but we are getting the car. And it's the kind of car that Honda would not even build now, with their new conservative mentality.
