Daydreaming Or Rx8 Fever!!

I'm probably a complete SADDO but, does anyone else daydream about their RX8 on their daily drive to and from work??

I must say that lately I've found myself imagining I was in my RX8
during my daily drive only to wake up and realise that it isn't really here!!

Maybe I just programmed myself to having the car by now and I have a touch of RX8 fever. THANKS MAZDA FOR THIS ILLNESS!!

Can I sue them!!:D

I need a holiday, thank god that's only 3 weeks away, SUN, GOLF, POOL, SUN, GOLF, POOL, RX8, RX8, RX8, RX8, RX8!!!!

OH **** I'VE LOST THE PLOT.

Cheers

Oilman,

And I thought it was just me.

I have noticed this seems to get worse the closer I get to your neck of the woods (it must be something in the Cornish air) as I drive down to Bodmin regularly as I am designing three road improvements on the A38.

However, I think the worst incidence of this was on my way up the A42, just where the BNRR starts and I just imagined myself nipping through the cones and giving the 8 a workout on the uncluttered virgin tarmac.

Sad or what

Chris :D

My Mazda Xedos is feeling the strain!!! Been red-lining it ever since I ordered ... just trying to get used to the thought of 9000 RPM.

Mind you, it's been pretty impressive given that it's only 144 BHP.

Let me add another twist --- I've been building this spreadsheet with relative lengths, widths, heights, BHP, weight, power to weight ratio, wheelbase etc then graphing the RX8 versus the competition ... how sad is that

Two findings: The Boxster is very similar in many ways and ... how come my Xedos is so light? (100kg less than the RX-8)

Aren't blokes meant to think about sex every 5 minutes or something??

I bet most people here now think about their RX-8 as often as that now :D :D

Yep.

Every morning I drive my 'virtual' RX8.
Also thought it was just me !

Oddly , I am driving my car more gently.
I think I must be mentally be preparing myself for the running in period.... the other half commented on this before I noticed.

You're all mad. No daydreams but nightmares, that the delivery will be later.
Still the thought of sex in the 8 sounds nice, just as well I've ordered (easy wipe) leather.:D

Don't forget to let the exhaust cool before engaging in such activities, otherwise nasty burns can be caused.

Don't ask me how I know this, I just do.

Guys,

Aren't we going off topic a bit:D

I was referring to us poor deprived (depraved) future RX8 owners dreaming about the pleasure of owning an 8!!

I think mine's here already, IN MY DREAMS

Cheers
Oilman

Nice to see I'm not alone though, SADDO

Not quite as bad as the day after I tested an MX-5 (when I ordere the 8).

Woke up the next day ready to leap out of bed into the MX-5 an do for a drive. Was realy down all day because I still had my damned focus (ok, its a food 'family car').

If the RX-8 doesnt give me the same feeling (as the MX-5) I wont buy it.

One of the more amusing commercials I've seen recently was one where a space shuttle astronaut was daydreaming that he was driving his Toyota (or whatever the car was).

Someone sent me this picture today (I don't know why) but I thought it was apt for those interested in getting better acquainted with thier RX-8's.
