Main Forum Getting Interesting!
With our American buddies now getting their cars, the main forum is getting interesting.
New pics, some nice ones as well.
Some excellent first drive reviews.
Some waxing lyrical about their new cars (I would too)
This week, there will be plenty to read and digest, can I suggest that anyone who spots something of interest or a great pic, posts a link on this thread. It'll save us all wading through the hundreds of posts that about to happen.
Or copy and paste it here of course!
Cheers

Ive been following it with interest. That will be us in 3-4 months time. I just hope our cars are not held back for so long once they arrive in the UK.

Just had another thought. (well repeat of an old thought , but prompted by all these happy yanks)
It will be interesting to see what faults are thrown up owver the coming weeks. Hopefully nothing major (a la TT , A-Class) for I doubt that could be fixed by our build date.
But other stuff (trim items , port sticking etc) could easily be rectified before our build. i.e. We may actually have an upside to this wait - we may get v1.1 cars....
Or am I scratching around for positives in the delay ? Probably. Go back to my previous post I WANT IT NOW ! ! !

One of the things I noticed is that the US guys are talking of another production run for them that starts August 1st.
As our run starts July 28th, does this mean they have the facility to build 2 different specs at the same time (ie two production lines) or are they only building UK cars for 4 days?

when i visited the factory in 1993, Mazda where building all their models on the 1 production run. So you had a 323, Mx5 and Rx7 running down the line. (Dont forget to factor in the different specs within each model as well)
So yes, it is more than Mazda can, and will build multi market models from the one production facility.
At this time, 1993, Mazda where very much at the forfront of this technology, so id be surprised if this isnt the case today.

Agree Mark, a different and great picture.
I've seen some corking pictures since the weekend, may post some of my faves later.
Would love to see a pic of the dash at night if any of our American friends have one. Boowana, Herc etc.
Cheers

I have read some great reviews both personal and press lately and picked up some awesome pics. There are plenty more to come from across the pond!
Here are some of my favorites for those who may have missed them as there is so much to read at the moment.

1. Best Pic of Nordic Green IMO (stunning colour but a bit too near black for me)

The red looks great in pics. It looks MUCH better in real life even indoors under artificial lights (at a car-show for example). It looks VASTLY better in bright sunlight outdoors. Photos do not do this colour justice - good choice.

Those dash pictures are amazing (if a little out of focus).
Am I right in thinking the blue illumination is general (without the lights on) and the two versions (with the lights on) are the red numbers and the bright white numbers (I assume this is with the intensity of the dash lights adjusted from low to high respectively)
The more and more images I see of the car and the different elements the more I want my car now.
The next 3+ months are going to be difficult.

That tit grey with the strafes looks great, lines really suit the colour. As better resolution pictures come out the more I prefer the more understated sophisticated grey colour.
