Mazda Dealers : Ignorant - Discuss
Has anyone else ordered from a dealer in Wales, and do they seem to have forgetten you after giving them that £1000 deposit?
The buggers I ordered from were very interested initially but as soon as they got the money I haven't heard from them since. I've contacted them several times to try and find out the delivery date and as per usual told theat I'd have to ring back in x days time.
Is this just my experience or is everbody having the same problems. After reading most of these posts it does appear that certain dealers are defininately looking after there punters than others

My dealer in Canterbury has been a star...however I am a company car buyer and my RX8 is being sourced through Mazda's no.1 customer (Leaseplan). It may have made a difference...!!?
Also, I booked an appointment at Mazda Bookham and test drove a car in September at Mazda Weighbridge and both dealers were 'top-notch'

Which dealer in Wales? I've been in contact with both Cardiff and Swansea and neither have really inspired me - Swansea rarely return my calls and Cardiff are OK face to face but never did what they said they would.

JCT600 in Leeds have been excellent. They have called me to thank me for my deposit (paid via web), invite me to an early viewing back in the summer, sorted me out with a test drive in September and generally call me to see if everything is ok.
No problems at all

TW Whites in Milford have been very good. They haven't proactively kept me up-to-date, but that was probably down to the fact that they had no info themselves, but they have:
* Always returned my calls within a day
* Arranged a test drive for me a couple of months ago
* Given me what little information they had in a very open, yet careful way
* Empathised with the way we are all feeling on delays
* Put up with my frequent phone calls

Ditto T W Whites (overall) - Weybridge and Milford.
* Managed to get my test drive earlier at Milford than waiting for Weybridge.
* Really left in the dark too and have been honest about it
* Been encouraging about the RX8 owners club too
* Always returned phone calls too.

Likewise TWW in Weybridge. Rob has also put up with my frequent calls. Just organised another test-drive for tomorrow in their new demonstartor. W/E was fully booked already!

gic, I think it will all change as of this week. The dealers have all arrived back with there shiny new cars…I think if you rang them today they should be able to slot you in for a test drive at the weekend.

In all honesty the dealers have been made to look bad by MAZDA UK. My delaer is helpful, having said that I have only started to put pressure on my delaer/mazda uk recently regarding the delivery of my car. Hoping to get a test drive on Saturday.

sexy rexy, I think that you've made a pretty fait point. Don't often admit that I may have been a little hasty, but perhaps it's not the dealers at fault.
It does however strike me that the specific "lot" I've been dealing with were far more interested in getting my deposit so as to "increase their standing with Mazda UK" than to look after customer interest.
Or, perhaps that's just me being a bit cynical.
By the way Pillman, on the 3rd asking, they have offered me a 20 minute test drive tomorrow and were at last quite keen to see me, do they smell the sweet smell of £22,000 soon.
Sorry, being cynical again..................mental note, must learn a bit of trust toward car dealers (!!!???!?!?!)

I agree with Sexy Rexy. Not really the Dealer's fault.
The communication and flow of information has improved alot and they are responding normally the same day.
They are keen to hear about some of the 'niggles' that have appeared on the US cars. Their willingness to listen is appreciated.
Their mechanics have yet to get up to speed on the Rx8, however, they intend to turn the cars around as quickly as possible.
Cheers
