Mazdarotaryclub.com assisting Sheffield Mazda Dealer.
Hi All,
If any of you are in the Sheffield Area on Saturday please pop in and see us at the Sheffield Mazda dealership where they are celebrating the launch of the RX-8 after picking up their showroom car on Friday.
Mazdarotaryclub will be helping them display the RX-8 by providing the three models of RX-7 to stand along side the new car in their showroom for the day.
One of our members is even delaying picking up his RX-8 to attend this.

MAZ1986 ! Man , I came *so* close to buying that plate for my 1st gen. I saw it advertised on one of these reg companies for about Ł200. I um'd and ah'd over it for a while (and of course technically the car was a 1985) and never bought it, but I wondered what happened to it.
Glad it did end up on a 1st gen in the end !

Morgan,
Yeah, great plate for the car. I justified it by the fact that the car was first registered in March 1986 on a C. Being sad I have yet to find a Series 1 with a higher chassis number in UK - even those that I know where registered well into late 1986 seem to have been built sooner.
Another good way to show it is a late car is that it is one of the few to have the grey interior rather than the brown that should have been used with Opel Green. Basically this is due to the fact that Mazda ran out late in 1985 production cycle and I guess it was not worth manufacturing anymore.
Anyway it may not get so much use soon as the 8 is due at dealer sometime this week!!!

Hi Ace,
The idea was that we supplied stock cars !!,
The Gen 2 Turbo 11 and the Gen 1 are but the stock Gen 3 that was booked to go couldn't so l am going with mine that has a stock body except the horrible wing (he he ) and shaved number plate plinth.
I will keep the bonnet on though as it's not exactly stock in there !!!!
p.s. The Turbo 11 wheels are as Mazda intended.

Hey clive, again nice FD, but -as you said yourself- that wing is simply TOO MUCH, and spoils the perfect lines of the FD
And indeed the stock rims of the TII are nice, and if you say you had to provide stock models, then its OK, I just dont like multi-spoked rims. I always wanted to replace mine, but I sold the TII again too soon to actually do anything about it .........

I was supposed to be taking my '99 to Sheffield, but I can't make it now, so please don't give Clive a hard time for covering my mistake.
