Hi,
So I changed oil today and I found somekind of O-ring stick to the oil filter, Did anybody know from where it should be ? Not happy about this, also I register pretty much oil in intake and on air filter.
I have 2005 4 port 141kw
Thank you for reply,
I will definitly check oil dipstick tube seal thats a good idea, I am sure I didnt overfill, that excessive blowby is normal or its failure of something ? On the weekend I mounted oil catch tank (which I have already purchased in past) so I hope that will solve this problem.
Thanks again for your helping I am really appreciate it.
Excuse my english.
That outer position with the six holes is where the oil comes back into the filter after discharging from the oil pump and out through the oil coolers. Doesn’t seem like it could have come from the oil pan sump though. So when engine oil comes into the oil filter, it passes through those six holes to the filter pleats, through the filter material and into the center tube, before then being distributed to the e-shaft bearings and other internal oil galleries. It doesn’t look familiar to me at all though, kind of strange …

Also, not sure why that overfill theory keeps popping up. It would have to be way overfilled, like more than 1 Qt. over the full mark. I know this firsthand because I’ve repeatedly posted like forever on this forum; many multiple times, that when I first bought my RX8 in early 2005 and started competing in it that I was intentionally running an extra quart of oil. At the time I was just new to the Renesis and ignorant, thinking that it would help keep the oil pump from sucking air during high G-load cornering.
The usual culprit to puking oil is excessive combustion gases blow-by into the oil sump, meaning the engine likely needs to be rebuilt/replaced. My multiple Renesis engines over the years don’t puke oil, but I’ve always replaced or refreshed them before experiencing excessive wear to make sure they're operating at optimum performance.
My suggestion would be to perform a compression test on a warmed engine, which you’’ll likely find some of the values to be off.
ps: your English is quite well, better than some natural born citizens here thanks to our rotten marxist indoctrination education system 🤨.

Hi,

Likely fell and became trapped there during the last oil filter change, which c/h easily happened if installing the filter in the OEM location. Difficult to say what it came from.
I dont have rotary compression tester, so i can't meassure it correctly, but I have normal engine compression tester so I will try meassure it atleast that way.(If Iam right I will know only highest compression side of rotor?). I Will be changing spark plugs, so i will try to meassure it.
I did rebuild myself, one year ago (my first rebuild ever so Its really possible that I fu*ked up something) but engine runs nice cold, hot starts good.
Sorry for late answer
And thanks again for your answers!
