Selling
Mazda RX-6.
Nice car bit tacky inside and a good on the road if not pushed to hard (too much weight outside the axles).
The engine is what I love most about this car, as with the MX-3 I had, before someone bent it in two by smasing into the back of me in a motorway contraflow.
The styling is also good, but the flat torque profile of the 2.5 litre V6 is wonderful, the feeling of revving smoothly right round the guage is great.
One of the main reasons I want the RX-8 is for that same reason, even though the MX-6 has a 2.5 V6 because of the torque curve attained the max power is only 160HP, not sure about the torque. Therefore the 237HP of the UK car with the same characteristics will be excellent, the only thing I might miss will be, as I am natrully lazy, being able to lug around at 20 MPH in top gear, the lack of torque will probably put paid to that.

1991 BMW 520iSE Auto. Great car, a little slow, but has been very reliable.
1998 Alfa Romeo 156 2.5V6 Supercharged. This has been my baby for over a year and is fast and great looking. Had bodykit, suspension, brakes, engine modified and the best part is that it sounds amazing! Looks great in black, but is too hard to keep clean! That is why I am not going for black on my rx-8. Still, be sad to see it go

The siren song of the RX-8 is definitely going to lead me to dismissing my 2000 Celica GT-S. The thought of having a fully equipped RWD sports car (not a psuedo sports car like my Celica) for slightly more than I paid for the Celica is just too much pressure for me to ignore.
My only concern is that I will be losing the functionality of a hatchback with folding rear seats.

Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type UK Prodrive - a bit of a mouthful!
The RX-8 is the only car that I have seen that has made me want to change the scoob.
I still love the Impreza and will be sorry if it goes.

Hey Mark, that is a nice car you got there!
I didn't really agree with all the criticism about the front lights, thought it was a great car.
The only other car I considered over the RX-8 is a new Impreza WRX with the Prodrive performance pack. Ultimately chose the Mazda cause it is a superior package, even if it is not as fast.
Not sure I could give up a WRX for the RX-8, although I think I probably would in the end :D

Mark, Sharpor's right that Scoobie looks the dogs!. I don't know if I could get rid of it.
As for me, I'm opting out of the company car scheme which gives me nearly Ģ400 a month to play with and 40 odd pence a mile. Hope the fuel consumption is good enough for me to make money on that!!
Also may get rid of our MX 5. Really difficult to part with that, cus I know as soon as its gone I'll regret it. Its not fast, but handles like a dream and is so chuckable. Drop top driving on B roads is pretty unbeatable.

'98 Nissan Frontier King Cab
(a little embarassed of it)
I DID have a '01 Honda Prelude Type SH, but I couldn't afford the payments at the time so I traded it in.

I did look at the GTA. Better interior than mine, but no faster. This is because my Alfa is supercharged, not because the GTA is slow! :D
The biggest problem with my Alfa, and to an extent the GTA, is that it is front wheel drive. I have so much trouble putting the power throught the front wheels of my car.
So I decided that for my next car, it was either 4 wheel drive or rear wheel drive. Personally I prefer rear wheel drive after driving BMW's for many years.
So, if the GTA wasn't front wheel drive, I would have considered it, but I am afraid after the experiences with my Alfa, I didn't think it was a good idea.
Still couldn't fault the looks and the sound.

What would you think when you see a person that is 24 years old driving in a M5.
Most people think is from my dad or that I rented it.
But when the ask me if itīs from my dad, I say "No, my dad drives a brand new 745i".
But your right.. Itīs a great car..
I oneīs raced with a 911 carrera4 when I had 3 other persons in my car and it couldnīt keep up..:D

Wow, you all seem to have really flash cars at the moment.
I'm upgrading from a 1995 Honda CRX ESi.
A lot of fun in it's own way, but nothing like an RX-8!
I was going to get a TT, but the reviews about it's indifferent driving experience put me off. That and the fact that everyone has one

It's interesting to see the different cars that people are coming from to the RX-8.
It is such a unique car, I wonder what Mazda thinks it's target audience is?
There seems to be people coming from all different types and models of car, which must be good news in the end.
