1st 1000 KM till 5000 KM - Engine Oil
Anyone - need your help, got quite confused regarding running in to the 1st 1000 KM till 5000 KM on Engine Oil.
Tried searching for some threads but cant seem to find any.
Got more and more confused on when to change and on topping of engine oil for the 1000 KM till 5000 KM - bought mine from MM, which MM recommend to top up the oil till the 1st servicing at 5000KM.
Got some good advice to just top up and service and change engine oil at about 3000-4000KM. And also to change engine oil at 1000KM and at 5000KM.
Quite confused now. So which is the best for a 6MT rotary engine??
Change oil at 1000 KM, 3000-4000KM or 5000KM????
Currently using Shell Helix Super from MM Premium Oil (think is 20W 40 or 50) .

Hi
Mine oso from MM. Regarding oil change, there is NO fix rule. If u like and have the $$$, u can change every 1000km. It will benefit the engine to have new oil but balanced it against $$$, 5000 km seems reasonable. Since urs is the agent car, stick to their schedule but if u want to pamper, can change after 1000km, then next change at 5000 km. Just remember to use dino oil/rotary oil and not synthetic.
Cheers
