Drifter: Dun think Endless is that cheap leh, maybe it's $3K in USD! Like what lennon said, that price may be only the calipers and I don't think the Endless are designed for the smaller 302.5mm brake rotors. Anyway, DBA is a manufacturer and they don't sell direct so they will not provide prices.

SQFlyer : Oh .... Ya ... sorry .. it was 3000 plus USD .... hee hee saw it wrongly...

6 pots looks like too aggressive and expensive. I think I would prefer a 4 pots instead... still look nice :-) and its cheaper...

CHeers !

coupe07: Swee... very swee, but if it affects braking performance then....

Drifter: Most manufacturers use the 6MT as a base model for their products. I don't know of any brake manufacturer that makes 4 or 6 pot calipers for the smaller 302.5mm brake rotors on the auto 8. Think all the "big brake kits" will come with their own larger diameter brake rotors instead. The DBA rotors are very good, ask those who have used them in Aussie. Let me know if you're interested.

SQFlyer : the 4 pots I saw come with their own bigger rotors. Can't use the originals 302mm.

Exactly! But bigger brake calipers and bigger brake rotors will really add weight to the car. And since most of it is unsprung weight, it will affect the performance. I don't think it's really necessary for an auto 8 to add so much weight since there are very few mods to help increase the power to carry that weight.

The other factor is the cost. US$3000 is about SG$5000+ for the big brake kit. The DBA brake rotors are less than SG$700. If you have the money and not concerned about the loss of performance, then by all means go for the bigger brakes.

Caution: Bold portion only partly true. All B-L-I-N-G mods will more than compensate for loss of power, if any

Sorry Flyer - me gotta live up to me nick :D

SQ, don't be surprise that the endless 6 pot can be lighter than the stock brakes....

The idea is that "if you can't go fast.... at least you must look fast" :D

I'm not surprised if the Endless 6 pot is lighter than stock, IF it's the same size but we're talking about upgrading from a 302mm to a 320mm or even 330mm (not sure of the size of the Endless brake rotor), so that's quite unlikely. Unfortunately, nobody knows the actual weights. Like I said, B-L-I-N-G is the biggest factor, performance wise... If you are willing to sacrifice performance of your auto 8, then by all means...

Endless brake rotor is actually identical to the stock one, 323mm X 23mm for 6mt. Just that it's slotted. The weight is definitely lighter. There is another way of getting good braking power is to buy second hand brake caliper and make an adapter. Nowadays, this practice is quite common in Malaysia.

Like I said, lighter than stock 6MT 320mm brake rotors, yes. But compared to 4AT 302mm brake rotors, questionable.
