Dear Friends,

Could you please advIse if there is any aluminium material member braces/lower arm bar available? Braces that go underneath the car. Want something of light materials. What's the weight of the autoexe's?

Thanks in advance.

I had the MazdaSpeed before, its Alum. I think its the only brand thats Alum.

The rest of the brand , AutoExe and Carbing are both made of Alloy metal.

The Mazda Speed is alot lighter than AutoExe and Carbing.

Thanks guys. But I rather have something that is lighter than 11 kgs (autoexe) as do not want to weigh down the car unnecessarily. If anyone, hear of better alternatives, please advise.

Morganoh, could you please PM the price of the Mazda Speed and where is the best place to get them. Thanks in advance.

If u want something much lighter it got to be the MazdaSpeed
U will have to spend 30% more around $1300 for the Mazda Speed one

Garage R, Yap Brothers , Gan Motor and Mazda Motor can help u to import.

Theres another place that sell Mazda Parts cheaper. They import just Mazda parts for the workshops in Singapore. This shop is along one of the streets parallel to the Upper Serangoon Road near Jalan Besar. (I know how to go but do not know the street name. I think it start with Ve_____ )

They are the cheapest but one problem , must wait for 3-4 mths.

Thanks for the info.

Could you also advise that with the braces, and the car being lowered by about 1.5cm, would going over humps be an issue?

FOrgot whats the unit no. and the shop's name.

Travel along Jalan Besar Road Right turn in to Veerasamy Road.
The shop is on the Left side.

Veerasamy Road is only around 3-400 meters long. Take a Walk and u will find a Shop selling Mazda Parts. U will find a few shops selling parts for different brands of cars Honda, Toyota, Mazda. so u can't miss it cos theres a Mazda logo on their shop signs.

The car will be able to go over most of the Speed Humps in Spore. Just as long as u do not drive over it at high speeds.

The only humps that will be a problem are those at the Mulitstory and Basement carparks.
(if u go up the slope, the humps are at the end of the slope before u reach the next storey)

If u lower your car , Even with out the brace, the car will hit the carparks humps.

But with the brace, it will prevent the humps from hitting the main car frame.

I did take a look at the bottom of the car and found out that the main car frame is waterproof with a layer of "Black STUFF" with out the protection of the Brace I found out that some part of the " Black Stuff" has be scrub off.
