Anyone got any good PI Anyone got from Hua Yang at Sin Ming? I was quoted $1.2k for the spoiler. If this a reasonable price?

Quite a few of us, including myself, got our car from HY as they are usually one of the cheapest. To some extent, price is inversely proportional to service... so buyer beware. For example, I got my car 14 days after the COE bidding even though the sales rep promised me within the week. The excuse given was that HY boss needs to manage the cash flow and so some car got delayed in the registration. If you are willing to forgo some service for money savings, HY is fine.

Also note that HY cars do not come with CD player, which is fine by some of us as we intend to mod the sound system anyway (original Mazda one isn't too good according to many people). So check the accessory list before you sign the contract with ANY PI.

Garage R is supposely good but they're not cheap.

As for spoiler, I think the spoilers HY offer are replicas so you should clarify again and check with us on the forum...

i've been thro ur stage once buying fr PI so share my personal experience with u, hope it helps in ur decision making..

- get them write on paper the commited del date, and penalty for late delivery
- no mention of accessories like CD player which buyers usually think car shd come with
- do check the insurance plan they are offering (cheapest mi not be best) cos there might be hidden clauses like no courtesy car, high excess, etc
- take note of the rebate policy if COE prices dip alot (like the 2-3k COE price dip ard oct/nov)
- compare with another PI on the price offering vs additional accessories offered..
