Congrats!!! You must be a very happy boy today... Although my SE said it takes 14 working days to register the car, my 8 was ready for delivery about 4 days after my IC was submitted to my SE for registration. So let's see how long your SE takes. So how? Wanna get Huper or not? I've been waiting for Manwe and at least one interested party...

It takes 3 days for registration. That was what my SE from my old car told me. And when it arrived, he really took 3 days. Depends on whether your SE is slack or hardworking

Hmm....3 days only? Weird, my SE was telling me 7-4 days for registration etc ...
Think when I go down and submit my IC for registration, must "cho cho" him why so long also

sqflyer,

If my deal with the SE for the V-Kool fell off, then include me. I sure will tint the windows for my X. Cheers

For bros booking from agent, when u collect the car, the SE will give u a folder with the car manual and other papers. Make sure the key ring (leather?) is inside. My SE does not give me the key ring! whereas my colleague's folder has it inside. Not that it really matters (don't think it is expensive) but it makes u wonder the quality of the SE serving u. U bot a $140k car and they gave u the tabs/keys all in el cheapo ring! Told off my SE and told him he shld use his money and buy something more presentable!!

from what i can see he must have kept the thing or given it to someone. just feel that they will grab the chance when they see it.

actually after sticking the film i know it will block out the UV rays, heat and someother stuff but will it cause a tint like 'darken'.

For the same tint, V-Kool would block approximately the same amount of UV(slight more) but more superior in IR. That would keep the heat out. So was hoping that we can get $700 for the V-Kool too. I am asking for lobangs as well....hope can find too...

Whatever it is, definitely going to get either Huper or V-Kool. The cheapest deal wins

Must get a checklist or something... If they dare to shortchange anything, threaten to report police for cheating. Hahaha....maybe will scare him into giving you free accessories as compensation Now now...that is blackmailing isn't it? But if he offers that.... hmmm why not? :D

Bros....just confirmed with SE I'm getting my 8 same shipment!! Oh happy day :D As watoke said in earlier post, needs about two weeks for delivery....we will be zipping around in our 8's soon, guess before the end of Oct...ahhhhhh

Ok, now to some of the other great threads....

Wax. Homework says go with Zaino. I'm doing that, over to Cazcomp for the purchase soon. Manwe, your suggestion of waxing together as comparison is great, but if I recall, you want Zaino also?

Tinting, I'm doing V-Cool soon after I get my 8. All of the searching I've done indicates V-Cool, but Huper a close second depending on price.

Glare? don't think so, sorry sgflyer. However, let us know for sure your experience with it you if you go for it.

Rims...well the jury is out. Think I'll stick with the stocks for a while and see if they grow on me, else I'm in the market. Thanks EBS for all your great ideas, help and advice, much appreciated bro, u da man. Also, thanks for the tip on the key ring and expecially for the tip on getting Hyper Rev when I first joined the club.

I want to get the rotary crests, front and back...they are sweet accents.

Audio...anybody know where's a good place in Sing to upgrade the speakers? Neon, you seem to well connected in this area.

It's been a pleasure guys, and lots more to come!

Genesis,

I am trying to get my friend for lobang to get V-Kool cheap. Dunno if can get or not. Hopefully can get 700 or less.

As for Zaino, yes, am going to get it. Think we can share the clay bar. We won't be claying it after application. Get the clay bar, Z2 for clear coat, Z6 for the spray and the ZFX to go with Z2(some ppl skip this but heard it is good as it brings out the shine and allow you to put up to 3 coats). We'll spend one day during the weekend and sweat it out. Then maybe go makan for dinner.... bring along helper?

ICE, hmmm I will try to get lobang too. I'll ask if we can get discount for the store that Neon recommend....

That sort of like settled everything.... by the way, the accessories take abt 3 mths to arrive from mm. Order now. I just did....

Ok dude, if u have lobang for V-Kool cheaper or close to $700 then I'm in. Think sgflyer in too. Else, if not, I may be able to arrange something. Let's PM.

Good idea on the Zaino...would like to share the clay. Lets work out the timing, etc by PM. Yeah, after the sweat, makan for sure

3 months for accessories? Yikes, calling SE again soon

Bros,

Try to ask around for lobangs.... we'll see who can get the cheapest quote... they supposedly gave a group discount to toyota club members. I am trying to find out how much does it cost for mystique. Hope to get a reasonable price...

Are you delaying registration to get small number? Hmmm.....

why not we figure out an estimate how many people are going to do it then it may be easier to check. also can find out how is our bargaining power.
may be a bit tougher for us as compared to the T club cause so many 'turtle' and sillycar on the road not to mention the big price gap.

:D Turtles and sillycars indeed... Anyway, I agree that we don't have numbers like T club so we should just figure out how many of us are interested before we can start squeezing for a group price. I'll start the ball rolling.
