Try to get your HyperRev magazine back and check out the pics to see where you would like to place your gauges. Amemiya is the brand that has a center console hood for 60mm gauges. So far, it's the one that I like the most but like I said $500 for a piece of plastic is pretty spendy. Nevertheless, it's the only one that can hold 3x60mm gauges on top of the center console so gotta pay the price if really want the gauge hood. There is an original Mazdaspeed one but that is >$2+K including the gauges. If not, you can always just stick the gauges on the dash without a hood/pod, but maybe not as nice lah. This is your personal preference. I want to get the Amemiya hood and Defi gauges, but then again there are many things that I want. :p Gotta pace myself (and my wallet), one project at a time...
Regarding the Mazdaspeed side deflector that you saw (I believe you saw it on Garage R's website rite?), Mazda Motor actually sells the "aero" package which includes the front air dam skirt, side deflectors and rear under deflectors for a little over $1,400. If you are interested, I know someone who is selling his aero package (original but 2nd hand) for $900 including respraying to your body colour. If you only want the side deflectors, then gotta check with him but should be under $500. Contact me if you're interested. Maybe can get the gauges/hoods done together.

Just to clarify that the price quoted by bro sqflyer is the original factory kit which is not the mazdaspeed skirts. The mazdaspeed skirts are full length(from wheel to wheel) whereas the original factory skirts are only half length(covering from rear door to rear wheels). Though cheaper, it may not be what you are looking at. So do check it out before buying.
MM charges almost 8k for the mazdaspeed kit which makes the side skirting about 1k plus(estimated). Even more expensive than garage r. I suggest you look at other brands if cost is a big concern. There are many other aerokits which looks exactly like mazdaspeed side skirts going for a much lower price.

I agree with ya bro, red is nicer Mine is a red too! Was actually thinking of getting the blue coz it looked cool, but didn't get it coz MM didn't have stock & had to wait 3mths! So went with red in the end, and I gotta say red rocks! Actually come to think of it, RX8 rocks in every color! I just hate the 2 tone interior tt MM has for it's black and T-Grey. The beige just doesn't do justice lar...2 tone black w/ red still can, but black w/ beige just cannot make it.
And oh, welcome to the club Destiny. I'm sure you are enjoying every second driving your 8, I know I am. Always manage to bring a smile to my face when I turn on the ignition key and hear the car purr and take it out for a spin. Great choice in car and don't mean to sound sexist, but I'm surprise you bought a manual! So far, I only know of 2 girls who prefer manual over auto, one of whom drives an EVO VIII MR, also red color :D

Hi destiny,
yes that is the 'mini skirts' that sqflyer had pointed out. That is mazda original factory kit. Not mazdaspeed. That one is very cheap. Should be 500 or less.

The three gauges are then flush with the dash...very cool Others get gauges mounted on top of the dash near the steering wheel, but the gauge pod looks best IMO in terms of fit and finish. Yap Bros in Paya Ubi can do this, but a bit ex around $1.5k. I'm sure others can direct you to similar mods at more reasonable price.
I went to Paya Ubi ,Yap brothers this evening, ask for the guage pod, they quoted me $280 only, but its only for Subaru and DC5 .....
