Central Locking Button

Has anyone installed a button in the car which locks both doors at the push of a button? i think US models have this but ours don't.

any pictures of US version of RX8 with the button?
Why not installed something when you step on the brake, before you move off, it will automatically lock the doors?

Yes...

It's called a "remote".

The auto lock when you step on the brakes can be real irritating.

I hate it when the door is lock when i try to reverse. It can be a real pain when you parallel park, you try to open when reversing and its lock, open it and it locks again when moving forward, repeat fustration.

Lock buttons seem more useful when you want to lock all 4 doors on a sedan, but limited in use when there is only one lockable passenger door.

Bro, apparently mine only works when the handbrake is pulled, and let go when you moving off, only then the auto-lock sensor will activates when you step on the brakes.
As you have mentioned, if you're reversing, the auto-lock will not happen, b'coz you did not pull the handbrake, and only stepping on the foot brake, so opening the door will be an ease
