Converting Heated Seat Switch
hi folks,
is it possible to use the heated car switch for other purpose. our sunny weather dun need them anyway. I hope to use it to turn on some mood lights, leds etc.
I found underneath the seats (frm behind) has two white conectors that links to the seats. are they the same set of wires to the switches and where can i get the connectors?
will it affect the driver's electrical seats?
Appreciate your advise. thanks in advance

Yep, it's possible. I've been using it for ages.
The connectors are under the seat, but be careful what you plug/unplug. The electrical seat operations is a small issue compared to the airbags. Some models of the RX-8 have side curtain airbags embedded in the seats. Meddling with the wrong wiring could mess with the operation of the seat curtain airbags. If you are not technically inclined, better seek help from an electrical installer.

Is there a fuse for the Seat Heater where I can just remove so that the seat heater does not work?

Yup, easiest is to disconnect the switch under the centre console. Another way is to disconnect the seat warmer connectors under the seat itself. Should be a fuse somewhere in the fuse box too, don't know for sure but I doubt a heater element would come without a fuse.
