Hi everyone,

I would like to know whether HKS RE Racing Engine Oil 10W40 (fully synthetic) is suitable for our rotary engine.

Thanks in advance

I can't seem to find any 5W20 oil. Which oil are you using?

Can we use OWS fully sythetic engine oil for our RX8? The people from Riverview auto services say can. And they have experience with RX8 to repair the steering rack and engine mount.

Bros, what do you think?

Anyone knows where to get idemitsu rotary engine oil?
Can we just use idemitsu mineral oil since I will be changing engine oil every 5000km? Where to get this as well?

bro, let me tell u whats the difference btw mineral oil n FS oil.... mineral oil when burn ah leaves a layer of film.. or what u might call residue... WHICH in the long run is bad for all engines.. thats why pple start coming up with FS oils... u never think why FD oil is much more expensive then mineral oils?? well... its ur car dude.. if u wanna try out something new, dun say we never tell u....

I think I can get them from the main distributor in Singapore.

By the way, sidetrack a bit...
What viscosity do you guys prefer? 10W30 or 10W40? We are talking about Fully synthetic here.

To all Bros out there,

I found out from my friend that his customer has been using Royal Purple Synthetic engine oil in his RX7 and now RX8. He said it is a great product and it is cheaper than any other synthetic oil (think so). He feels that it is better than idemitsu.

May I know who is using Royal Purple now? Is it really good? Because I have a very good and close friend who can get this engine oil for me.
