i've had it installed for more than 1.5 years already and love it because it takes the 'guesswork' out of cranking during cold starts.. these days alot of new cars come with start buttons as standard.
Don't get the illum shift **** though- bulb fuses easily and can't be replaced.

i ordered teh pivot illumi start button a few days ago..thinking of putting it in place of the cigarett lighter (i don't smoke)...or ut a hoel bellow the radio on button/volume controll...will probable go wiht the cig lighter first and maybe move it later.
errant....how did ou wire it to start i know thee are 3 ways....did you set it up so that is the only way to start the car...or can you still turn the key?

army rx8- for mine you can still turn the key to start, just in case the button short circuits or something !
the good thing about the mazda start button is that location-wise, its made for where that useless coin compartment sits (in singapore you hardly use coins for carparks anymore). its an intuitive place to reach fior when starting the car- if you place it where the ciggy lighter is, you will need to flip up the lid each time you wanna start- if it were me, i wouldn't bother doing that after awhile..

No problems for me. It's a cool toy to have - just wish me could use it without the key! Maybe me can re-wire it... Anyone knows?
