Enough of Garage R

hey bros..

I have just about had enough with Garage R. Dropped off the car for 30k service (as usual, been servicing there all along) and one of the big boss there (wont mention names) said that from the next service, cannot bring your own oil anymore. Must use their HKS oil, or they won't service. What nonsense is this?

Anyway, even though i brought down my Trust oil, got a call from them saying they had put it the HKS oil 'by mistake'. Wanted to charge me for the full service including their oil. So what do I do with my oil that I specially went down autobacs to buy? I really kan them this time, so in the end they drained off their 'precious' HKS oil and replaced with mine.

anyway.. just griping here, but for any PI 8 owners where do you bring your babies for servicing? Need workshop lobang alr..

btw Lance has left GR..

dun tell me its lester? aiya... expected mah... they HKS distributor, of cos insist u use their oil......

if its juz normal servicing, most workshops can do for u, how come spend more money at garage r? moreover u r bringing ur own oil..... all workshops can do the servicing for u, unless u wan special spark plugs.....

servicing for all cars are the same, if not, similar..... our 8's servicing is not special in this case.....

Well, they do make more $$ if customers were to use their oil (beside the labour cost). They cant force ppl to use a particular oil.... I think they will loose out some business just for that...

Me got my ride from another PI (which is f**k type), just finish my 1 yr warranty with them, so, I was just thinking of going to GarageR to do my servicing.... But, I guess, I have to look some where else now....

Was thinking of STPowered, anyone has any experience with them?

Cheers

You're quite lucky its 30K, i bought the car from them and by 5K they told can only use HKS oil. All the while have been using trust. Besides the servicing aint easy on the pocket except for the warranty package price for those that bought cars from them.

dunno why everytime i visit GR it leaves a sour taste in my mouth cos of their moneyface attitude.

nothing against lester himself, i know they are running a business but it sure doesn't seem like customer first.
oh well, calls for a GR BOYCOTT

If u only changing the engine oil, just buy the original Mazda oil filter around $6.50 & change it yourself when the car engine is cold, u just need to untighten the filter anti-clockwise & remove it & put in the new filter, after that just go any workshop or petrol station & pay around $10 to drain off the old oil & just pour in the new oil youself. I using Royal Purple 10-40W now & it only cost around $10 per bottle, need around 4.5 bottle.
