Still looking for exhaust, prefer a cat back.
Bro gfoo,
Ideal set up:
1)revi intake - is it cool air intake?
2)simota closed box
3)Extractor or exhaust manifold
4)cat converter
5)cat back exhaust
With the above, sure can improve performance significantly. Right?
But I do not know any garage which can help me to send the car for inspection (during the third year) cos I don't think extractor & cat converter are LTA approved.
Thanks in advance.

Interesting thread... glad that the fire was put out already and we can now concentrate on learning what is good for our 8's breathing system.
gfoo and coupe07, you guys know about the system well, care to explain what sort of set up is good for our 8? There are members here that have cat poke, cat remove, cat back, straight pipe, relocate the O2 sensor etc etc... will this create problem for our 8? If yes, what sort of problem have you seen or experienced?
What do we need to work on getting the best flow from intake to exhaust from your experience or recommendation?
Does it require a different set up or system for MT vs AT?
Thank you...

cat poke- dunno simi lai eh
cat remove - frees up exhaust flow, good for MT, AT needs backpressure rem, PLUS those stand behind sure die
straight pipe - isn't this cat remove?
relocate o2 sensor - for what?
whatever you wanna do, get from performance tuners like RE, KS, Auto and even RB. dun do silly things like go to Manz, FK to save money.
and pls, when you do start installing stuff, try to buy those that doesn't need too much playing around with SENSORS.

Thank you for your feedback, gfoo :-)
"cat poke- dunno simi lai eh" - some members here poke a hole in their cat...
"relocate o2 sensor - for what?" - some members has relocate the O2 sendor further back since they remove cat...
"cat remove - frees up exhaust flow, good for MT, AT needs backpressure rem, PLUS those stand behind sure die" - does it mean that it is OK to remove cat and is good for MT but not for AT?

Now i ain't saying that exhaust issues caused the fires, but the 8 is finicky and every small change esp to engine/exhos plays a determining part. So unless it's been proven to work and is meant for your ride, i would stay far far away - esp for kuitao.
It's like you buy a PP but decide to use a VC mainspring to mod the watch - bo lee yew
