Exhaust/Mufflers
Maybe let me share a small insight with u guys:
HKS exhaust
"poor welding and poor material used in the exhaust" - confirmed by Japan tuners when i was there, talking to them abt exhaust. And here comes the cookie: HKS exhaust DOES NOT improve anything for the 4AT and 5MT, due to the different engine setup from the 6MT rx8.... this is also confirmed by 3 different rotary tuners. I'm sorry to those HKS exhaust owners, but this is what has been said and proven by them. Reason being when they designed and tested the muffler, they only had the 6MT rx8 in mind, without bearing in mind that the 5MT and 4AT engine setup is different...... That is the no.1 problem with a general brand. They juz make for one model, assuming it is suitable for the rest....
Fujitsubo
Again, no gains on 4AT and 5MT due to different engine setups..... But good improvement on the 6MT.
**Therefore pls tink twice before changing ur muffler to any brands... not all will improve horse power..... some will even suffer power loss... the best is to go for exhaust produced by rotary tuners. They noe how to bring out the best for our cars.
No offence or malice intended for those with HKS mufflers. Coffee on me.

Well done bro. so looks like choices for 4AT and 5MT bros are less. That said, recent HKS material is not so good but gains are goood for certain cars!!!. My fnd fitted an approved HKS on his euroR. Dyno be4 and after showed a peak gain of 15bhp!!

Is ok coupe...all available info should be posted, whether positive or not, thanks for the post! Have to say that my Legamax is great...I noticed an immediate improvement in airflow and pickup in my 8 even before the RS. Additionally, the center consol is cooler now than before...I have 6MT tho

Anyway OT again.. I was seeing that a 6 speed auto is going to be implemented for the 2006 RX-8 and would assume that this may impact the 4 speed autos that PI has in stock here.. So was just wondering if I should wait to book and if the PIs would be bringing the 6 speed auto.
