Only if the fuel tank is affected. They will install heat sheild if there is any deformity.

So if it is not making any issue for a few months of driving... it ain't going to affect for the rest of its lifespan.

The heat sheild is free supply and they get labour fees from Mazda, so I guess they will be proactive.

I read it some weeks back and was expecting something like that. But not even 5 mins when they started lowering the car I said to myself "Like that only ah ?"

They seem more interested with my autoexe brace and leds.

I hardly drive the car... so probably no faults have surfaced yet. It only just pass 10K

Did they put their hand on the brace and shake it left and right?

Nope... but they did use their torch to tap the side to make sure it was made of metal.

Oh yes and they warn me about my ground lighting leds being too far front.

They just called me back ... apparently they are doing a check now and then they will call us back later to install the parts. They need to know how many heat shields to order from their Japan counterparts. Weird....
