Me also considering..have a few questions actually
1) how does its performance compare with say getting your car supercharged or turbo charged
2) just to make sure im not off, final drive is abt changing the gear ratios right?
3) what effects on engine, drive comfort etc
4) how much does it cost and where are the recommended workshops to do this

upgradin to a higher ratio(4.77);stock is 4.44,will c a better pickup.FEED cam up wif tis product is meant to eliminate the low initial torque tat our 8 is 'missin'.u can 'feel' ur ride 'plungin forward' more willingly.the dnside is tat u'l b cruisin @ a higher techo readin.
both FI method r oso dsign to improve the low-end of the car. if u r light footed when cruisin & nt on boost,it'l cruise like an NA's FC...hope tis help

Feed 4.777 + sport clutch/light flywheel is a good mod if u want to keep your 8 NA, i have it on my 8, TC or SC if u want much more HP but make sure u can live with the crazy 8 ECU.

yeah..i think i will seriously consider this cos i wan to improve my acceleration. Highway im normally cruising at 85-100km..ok so how much will this cost me and where is a good place to get it done? But i think even with this mod, the accelaration gains wont be much correct?

Final Gear Ratio effects the overall acceleration and topspeed of the car. With a higher gear ratio, you may have better acceleration but you will lose topspeed . And the opppsite is said for a lower gear ratio.
With the addition of a turbo you would have increased your power output and acceleration . So with the higer gear ratio, it might render some gears too short. That might lead you searching for more gears after your car has maxed out.
Turbo cars rarely go over 4.33 final gear ratio.

If thinking of FI, no pt doing the final gear, but clutch/flywheel may be is still a must if u want to have a better hold of the extra HP from FI. Really hope to see more FI locally, my car near 3 yr old, inspection coming Aug., no pt. doing FI anymore ;

After your 8's 3rd birthday inspection, you can enjoy 2 years of FI until the next inspection mah... ha ha. FI your 8 lah, then can sell me your FEED final drive...

Its either FI or final gear.
Sometimes i think whether FI is really useful if we just use our 8 as a daily driver and track less than a few times a year. Like in "Zhng my ride", its useful to race the 100m between traffic lights.
And FI will bound to have problems somewhere somehow earlier or later. If someone can show me a setup that works even 90% problem-free at least for 3 years continously as a daily commute; I WILL BUY IT NOW.
In this case, maybe a final gear is quite sufficient. But too extreme, really may have problems with gearing. Thats why i believe its more suitable for 6MTs.

No lah bro... Once on 3rd birthday, then once every 2 years. After 10 years, then it's every year. But I certainly understand your concerns about all the problems of FI.

I really think FI is for the extremely dedicated 8 driver. Its such a pain; and worse is that the pain never stops. There is the fun but there are the consequences... Like a 1 night stand...
But its really easy and cheap to install on most other piston cars. Personally known quite a few. But then there are still problems; just lesser than on the 8. Mostly FF cars, and they have problems with worn CV, burnt clutch, transmission problems, wheelspins. etc.

You are right, i think its a real pain. I was contemplating TC in the future but after talking to some more experienced members i realised that its gona be super troublesome with all the frequent problems that might occur. think i just leave the car NA. although i love my car but i have a low tolerance for frequent workshop visits..
But im speaking as of the moment now whereby tuning for turbo applications of the 8 is still relatively new. Perhaps in the near future, we can look into this matter again..damn..i need the final gear...soon

Alvin, u have e chance to fly to japan & hand carry back, is not that heavy, it very toublesome to remove it & when installing, pls make sure the mech. have e tool & machine to balance & push the final gear back into the housing, or else they might just use a hammer

If FE can send the final gear to my Japan office, I can certainly bring it back myself. Problem is ordering the item itself, speaking Japanese isn't my forte unfortunately so I have to ask favors from friends. Who else is interested to get the FEED 4.77 final drive?

But for installation, do it one time & do it right.
