And it isnt about countrymen bro - this dude is just plainly being an asswipe. Just for the record I think that the admin chicks comments on Asians being able to read was pretty uncalled for too. However since that was in essence her angry response to that guys racial comments - well think of it as a fight. If someguy were to hit you, would you hit back? Its just a shame when ANYONE has to resort to racial insults to 'hit back'.

I'm juz curious whether your friend really used such vulgarities and there is
really no necessity to resort to such crude remarks in ANY circumstances.

I had my LED thread removed as well juz because I was viewed as
"advertising for my wares" but the bros here know that LED lights are just an interest that I share with my friends.

I replied and explained to the forum owner in a cordial manner which i never did
get a response since 24/11/06 but I didn't take it to heart n shrug off the issue.

BTW, I gotta say your fren's carpets are REALLY cool
but if he is really guilty, then he ain't cool.

As a neutral outsider/lurker who doesn't own a RX8, but with a keen interest in online motoring talk, have you guys considered setting up a local Singapore RX8 forum or at least migrate to the local Mazda forum?

Two compelling points -

1. The vast majority of the threads in this folder come from Singaporean or S'pore-based owners - the Malaysian owners are chatting in their own sticky thread and I don't see any real contribution from the rest of the Far East.

2. The silly clashes with the RX8 owners from North America, who don't know the local context, lingo or cultural norms but insist on weighing in their opinions in a manner which may be acceptable on their side of the street, but comes across as just plain nonsense - case in point - the whole Sprint Booster issue: one simple review taken way off topic, especially by the comments from the US RX8 guys.

Sure every forum has its rules and by laws - but what works for a mainly North American-centric forum may not work well for the majority of the users in this folder.

A month or so ago Omicron said he had an email from you, and indicated he had replied. I've asked him again, just to make sure he knows you're still interested.


And Swerve76, I think there's been a misunderstanding here. I never, said anything about Asians not being able to understand English, and I never would. That is something completely made up by "Sexysheva" to explain to his "friend" why he sent that nasty PM to me. What I posted was the only thing I ever sent to "SexySheva." And his reply was the only thing I ever received from him, because I banned him immediately after. I find racism, sexism, and intolerance in general, disgusting. And anyone that's been on this forum for any period of time knows that that's one of my major hotbuttons here, and I call people out for it all the time. So, to indicate that I'd make some completely idiotic comment about any race, sex, religion, or color is pretty dumb.

As for advertising- anything that is produced in quantity and created to be sold to make a profit for the seller applies. So whether you make something for a hobby, or you're a car accessories professional, you need to be a forum vendor to advertise it on here. If you're having problems getting in touch with Omicron, instead of swearing at me or any other moderator, just let us know what's going on, as it's easier for us to get in touch with him sometimes than for regular members, and we'll see what we can do.
