Fuel consumption experienced by fellow Singaporeans

Hi, I'm new here. (n_n)

Wondering what the fuel consumption my fellow Singaporeans driving in Singapore are experiencing... and how they manage good fuel economy on their RX-8?

to my knowledge different driving styles, transmission types and aftermarket or personal modifications can make the number quite variable... so makes it quite interesting for me to find out.

Thank you!

4AT... change from a 16 inch to 18 inch... usually can run abit more than 400km before top up... and i top up when the light comes on... funny thing is, the FC actually improves after i change my rims... thought maybe the circumference smaller than the 16 inch rims...

I'm getting about 6.5km/l for 60% city driving and 40% high-way. My best record was 8.15km/l when I did 80% highway for the full-tank. And I'm not that heavy footed... mostly 2500rpm to 3000rpm...

When the orange indicator does its appearance.. its 6.5-7 litres remaining. Tried and tested many times on mine.

By the way, its safe to do 1-2km more after the needle goes below the last marking.

Today I just finished my second tank. I went for another 60km after the orange light came up. Total mileage would be 465km on 58 litres. That's is 8.03km per litre. I'm still running in my car. I registered only 7.2 km per litre on my first tank.

Funny thing is the more you drive like a Sunday granny, the higher your FC will progressively become. Your rotary needs to be driven hard every now and then - the so called "clear carbon". Your FC will be high during the time you drive it hard but then on normal days, try to drive smoothly and you should see better FC figures.

nope. no other way except opening it.

To prevent it, do occasional high revs and use the correct oil.
