hot center console

Hi all,

got my 6AT last week. Been reading on past thread on the center console (next to my left leg while driving), cup holder being warmed due to the transmission axle. I do not know wat it means until i get the car.

What are some of the solutions that some of you do to reduce the heat?

you would get used to it. some folks here enhanced insulation under the cup holders (centre console can easily be removed). you can try searching to see what these guys have done.

How will a free flow exos system help?

Yes, heard about the insulation from other threads. Which workshop does that?

It is not that hot. It won't burn you and you can't cook in it.

I've been meaning to ask you guys...to go into 1st gear, do you push the stick up and to the left? And reverse, down and all the way to the right?

Mine just have to shift down 1 notch to reverse and another 2 notch to drive.

Yea. Left top for 1st gear and right bottom for reverse(5MT), not sure bout the 6MT.

pedals and gears are the same for LHD and RHD cars, the only difference for some cars is the indicator stalk Left for LHD and right for RHD, but some manufacturers are lazy and dun bother to switch Left to right.
