hey well at least it's listed there with all the "big boy" cars.
The price seems right, I mean the rental price of a gallardo is 3K a day and the rx8 is 250... which is 8% of the gallardo, gotta keep in mind that the buy price of the RX8 is around 10-11% of the buy price of the RX8.

Why would anyone want to drive a car they could not afford in the first place? Just to show off for a day? All one gets is just a artificially inflated ego and much lighter wallet.
The states has real cheap car rental. BMW, mercs, Ferrari, lambo, all for unbelievable cheap rates. But i thought whats the point?

Hi
Not everyone can afford what they desire. A RX8 may be unattainable to some people (not to mention the likes of Modena or Gallardo), and for some fan who really love the 8 but cannot buy one, renting it for a day may give him a life time of fond memories.

RX8 and a Truk....
A semi-local place rents exotics. For example, a Viper is $500/day, 50 free miles, then $1 per mile 51 miles and over.
Unreal. I couldn't drive the thing home 'free'.

My own CRV.
I cannot understand why people will spend so far beyond their means just to feel good for a short while. Last month there was this article in the financial section in the sunday times about splurging on wedding.
This girl booked a grand dinner and bought 20k worth of tiffany stuff. End of the day who remembers this wedding; the bill payer? Who is paying for the bill for what others ate 2 years ago?
And the following week, people wrote in to the forums of the straits times heckling at her.
How does a person feels returning the ferrari after enjoying it for 24 hours? He will long for it but yet feel bad he will not own one. Its like getting STD after a one night stand. Regret after a short moment of bliss.

Different strokes for different folks. Most wedding packages include the bridal car. Some people want to splurge on their weddings and as far as I know, it ain't a crime. Maybe not very practical, but they "song" mah. Just be happy for them. No need to point fingers and say they are stupid for wasting money or whatever.

I gues Emperor is the only saint here .. while the rests are foolish, he's prudent.. Wait, if he is prudent, why choose a Rx8? The corolla should make more sense right, more practical, better FC?

Because i know i can fully pay and maintain it. Thats why. And the other reason is i do not have to ask my parent to pay for it.
What i am saying here is not to overspend beyond one means. Isn' it good advice. Rather than encouraging people to go rent a gallardo for 3k a day and misleading them into thinking they should be doing and spending the money they should not be in the first place.
Yes, people spend on weddings (key word is spend here), but is it not foolish to splurge. Other key word is afford. Sound advice isn't it. There was this saying, good friends encourage you to save and ill company encourage you to spend. Thus wine and meat friends. If you think i am being bad company to encourage saving, go ahead.
A mature person who earns his own hard earned money will know the true meaning of it.
Whats so wrong with a corolla? Offensive to you? A person who used to drive a corolla pays $70k in taxes every year.

The title of the thread is not "Go rent a Gallardo".. rather, how much the cars cost a day of rental. There is a spectrum of reasons why youll need to rent a car, this is just another rental option im bringing to everyone.. not affiliated in anyway, just taken off from a website.
Saving is a virtue, we all know. Theres no need for u to insinutate that the purpose of this thread was to ENCOURAGE ppl to spend. However, its up to the individual to decide whether he/she should use that money, either to buy , rent ( one time transaction) when it calls for any occasion(s).
I guess you wouldnt like someone to comment that youre DUMB to buy the Rx8...cos the FC is rocket high... coming from someone whos driving a lesser car. Cause youre reason is ' I CAN JOLLY WELL AFFORD IT.'
Likewise, If someone was to rent a car and get your kinda comments.. they'll tell you " Its my money.. makes me happy... I jolly well know what i should do with it"
Again youre insinuating, nothing to do with corolla, its just being used as a 'compare and contrast' on the running costs with the 8. Nothing against it.
