INGS bodykit

Does anyone know how much is the INGS Bodykit(ABS material) in Singapore?

I intend to get one for my 8 but it seems that i might have been over quoted, or so it seems, from a established kit shop in Singapore. I have been quoted a total of SGD3500 with installation BUT without spraying and Spoiler(as it only comes in fibreglass).

What is a good price that i should pay? And of cos..what material is the Original INGS kit made of? Polyurethane?

Please help as i dun want to be a carrot head.

thanks guys

Hi bro

Not too sure if u tried Lion Auto at Eunos Ave 5. Last mth there saw an 8 fitted with Veilside everything below $2.4k (not the GT model, the cheaper one). Can call Ryan 96935920 to check.

Cheers

sgrenesis - Can you recommend me a shop that can give a good price. Not those MUST see friend then quote good price kind. Cos if can get the original INGS kit for that kind of price and more, i think it sounds pretty decent.

And EBS...i will give Ryan a call and check with him soon. Thanks for your kind info.

And of cos to those with knowledge of bodykits....I've read up on the different materials used in kits. Fiberglass, ABS, polyurethane.

Its said that fiberglass material is not so good as it cracks easily and the paint over time will show 'waves'. Is it true?

ABS - won't crack so easily as material is more flexible and paint work will look better.

Polyurethane - the best??? True?

If so....what must i take note of when i order the bodykit besides the material used?

Thanks.

True. Good examples are those kits from Malaysia....... try seeing those wira kits and u will noe wat i mean.

ABS - won't crack so easily as material is more flexible and paint work will look better.

Not too sure abt ABS though.....

Polyurethane - the best??? True?

PU is best becos its rubber therefore can tahan knocks... but original kits dun come in PU.

If so....what must i take note of when i order the bodykit besides the material used?

Kits from jap use FRP, fibre reinforced plastic. If u dun mind i can order from you. Price wise i would have to get back to you. Alternatively u can get some local shops to get for you as they can include installation. But then again, original kits, anyone oso can fix, including u n me, cos the fitting is perfect.......

Wing alone is 1k plus. Whole kit, including wing is 7-8k.

Replicas are so much cheaper, but needs plenty of work cos the fitting not perfect. I suggest getting the original for goof fit and good material used.

Replicas are cheap alternatives but it doesn't come without problems. Originals are better but you have to pay more for it. So it's really up to you whether you are willing to compromise on slightly lower quality for a cheaper price or whether you are willing to pay more for better quality. In order to make an informed decision, come down to our club meet on 5th June, like what coupe suggested, and see for yourself.

Thanks coupe07! I guess the MS kit w/o wing would be 6k? Guess GR is quite honest with the price on their website...unless its outdated pricing and they have raised it. I like the MS kit for the CF trimmings...nice two tone effect on black. The replicas can be sprayed with such effect also? Pardon my ignorance...

Would love to attend the 5th June meetup. But then I usually get lost in the sea of pple... :P shy mah. Somemore my 8's a stock 4AT model...line up next to you guys' beefed up 8, machiam kancil.

I don't think the MS kit's trimming is CF, and besides it's quite hard to differentiate between black and CF so the two tone effect is minimal (even harder to tell on a titanium 8). The trimming is more like gun metal and can be sprayed on replicas as well.

Aiyo.. dun worry, all 8s are welcome regardless of AT or MT, 4/5/6 speed, PI or MM, stock or super-modded. Come for the next meet-up and you'll see we're all very friendly, but you gotta make the 1st move by coming lah.

thanks guys for the info...i will try to come for the meetup on 5th june.

Oh...and does anyone here have the INGS kit? From where did you purchase it from and how mush did it cost you(including installation and spray painting)?

Just got myself another quote. INGS kit(FRP material) about 2.8k without installation and painting. Is it an ok price to start with or is it still too steep.

Garage R has an online site for its stuff? Can i have it pls.

Thanks guys

U right - MS kit is not CF. It's body colour & slightly metallic grey trim. There is a CF MS kit - not original MS, but same style and N-I-C-E! :D

Anyone has Garage R's online webite? Not the www.garager.com.sg

Tried looking for it buy to no avail. Thanks all.

Good idea to give 'wind' of the pricing you guys got for the kits there are in the market and from which shop.

And yes...2.8k is 3 pc item. Front, sides and Back. No spoiler.

Hi guys....

Just got another quote. Original INGS (hybrid) with installation $3200. Is it a good price? The original kit does not come with the spoiler, the uncle told me "NGS spoiler comes in fibreglass only...so not so nice. Get another spoiler better".

Spray painting is another issue. $600 for painting work. Ex? But they say guaranteed quality job.

Need help on this guys...so any info would be great.

ings spoiler is not fibreglass hor.... is FRP, better than fibreglass.
anyway i dunno wats the difference between hybrid aero and FRP, but the hybrid one is slightly more expensive, but outlook is the same.

spoiler is a big lip spoiler.... imho, it dun match the fierce kit....... and yes, only FRP.

$600 for paint job is on the high side, considering original kit dun need any labour. jus bolt on direct, cos perfect fitting.....

the reason y the job cost $600 is becos u r driving a rx8. :p
