JDM Flare recall

Hi Guys,

I've just been contacted by my PI to recall the emergency flare - new TP/LTA rule. What a shame. The flare is useful for it's intended purpose. That's why it is standard equipment in Japan, maybe even a regulatory requirement?

I heard an A--H--- misused one and caught the attention of police. Anyone knows the full story? Hope he burned his a--.

Thanks for the link. Don't know why it took so long for my PI to get the recall order. Told me someone abuse it at a petrol station. Don't think it's you right, Neon?

BTW my brake stopper is integrated into the front brace bar mounting to push against the power brake cylinder to prevent it from moving and yielding during severe braking applications. The std mounting on the std firewall is weak and yields when you pump the brakes thus losing directness and effectiveness. There are standalone brake stoppers but Carbing is integrated and great looking. Worthit.

I agree - stupid fellow spolit it for us. Now we have to run around without a flare AND an empty clip.

Does anyone know if any torchlight would fit in the clip? That's all me can think of doing with the clip...

BTW the incident involved the lighting of the flare in a petrol kiosk out of ignorance - apparently culprit didn't know it was a flare. They threw it outta the kiosk... and a passing cop saw it (where's a cop when u REALLY need one )

Anyways, serious offence + threat of prosecution led to action by PIs. Don't think MM RXs have it. Or do they?

And Ringer - u going for the meet? Cheers all!

Attention all JDM bro's,

I just bought a delightfully perfect fit flashlight for my empty clip - Japanese made Miyasaki from Vinmart. It's made of alumunium alloy with choice of single filament bulb or 7 LED beam, the best flashlight in the world bar none. Only $20. I'm a quality kind of guy and my flashlights are Maglites. This is better than Maglite at 1/2 the price. Go get one.

My son (and I) just can't stop playing with it. The LED beam is just like the multi LED reading light equipped on Singapore Airlines Spacebeds.

Vinmart is a DIY chain all over Singapore. I bought at Vinmart in Seiyu Bugis, 3rd floor.

Just got my recall letter from my PI today.

Hmm.. wonder what would happen if one don't return it. Will the law come knocking on your door?

Nope unless u kanna at road block, then suay suay lah. Some PI close shop so how to return if u buy from them? Admin quite lay chay so I don't think LTA can really keep track of everyone.
Anyway since the popssibility of accident is there (esp with small kids), just return lah.

I don't think they actually have a record of who has what. You can say lost or expended liao.... they can't do anything to you. But it is a pyrotechnic.....so if you are caught...suay...dun think they will search you in road blocks for that too... unless they suspect you smuggling...then you "gsl" suay liao.... hahaha
