Dude.... spray inside cover. no on cover...... Better insert the straw (comes with WD40 when u bought it) into nozzle of the WD40 can....... Spray WD40 inside towards the top portion of cover........ Noise shud dissapear after about 100-200meters of driving.

I just did it "AGAIN" last week coz that annoying kok kok/ squeeking/ creeking sound came back again....... Now its all gone !!!! From what ive read in the Singapore/ US/ Aussie forums, a more lasting effect would be to take front absorbers out and grease those rubber parts throughly......... Its the rubber parts that's making all that noise and not the shocks & springs......

theboy...after 30k I still get the occasional low vibration "kok kok" sounds in my 6MT when I drive around bends or over bumps at low speed. In the past, I've swapped out my coilovers for HKS hypermax, swapped out my sways, braces, intake, exhaust....I've had everything checked for stability and it's fine. If you've taken you ride into a qualified mech to check and everything is fine, then don't worry bro, the 8 is a noisy machine, but that's why it's a sports car

hi Boy,
i have experience 2 type of kok ko sound before !
1. when at low speed, usually during turning ..or in a car park. Agent change my front absorder . Gone for a while but came back for 5000KM. sent it in again and they change the rubber "something" of the rear absorber . According to them, the alignment of the absorber was out ! .... i'm still waiting to see the result ,,,
2. If yours is a manual, u might want to check if it is due to the release clutch . put yr gear to netural and slowly release the clutch and hear for yrself. The lubricated my clutch and also mentioned that the sound might comes from the pump and ask me to monitor.... so far so good.
Hope this help.

today after my girlfriend drive it for a 200km semi bumpy ride. and its raining, the sound is back and louder. this time i found where the sound come from, when i press on the brake at low speed, i hear the kok kok sound. when i release it, the sound is louder. so this mean its the brake! oh damn... i skim my rotor and the sound is still there, i think it might be the brake pad or something else. i am driving a auto rx8
