Latest COE $5200!!!

Hey guys,

The latest (2nd bidding for Feb) COE was just $5200 only!!!

My loan was just approved on 12th Feb and the COE bidding result only published on 13th Feb.

So, I made a call to my PI, and he told me that his company already got COE for me earlier on, which means I can't get any rebate on this COE!

But strange, my loan was approved on 12th Feb, then the PI will only indent for me. And the COE bidding was out on 13th Feb, but I'll be only receiving my car in May 2007. Why I can't choose to have a lower COE price instead???

Chk your COE. If it is Cat A, that means the dealer took the risk of bidding for you even before loan was approved. If it was Cat E, fark em and tell them you want Cat A. If they are unwilling, screw up your own loan. And they will be at your mercy again.

check online with LTA to see what value of COE you have obtained. you have to key in your NRIC.

some PI will bid for COE upon verbal approval from bank. most impt, go to onemotoring.com to see if ur PI did bid ur COE under ur name (since they said they oredi gotten urs). i'm not surprise if they never bid at all and you cant hold them to any fault.

Then again, wats ur deal w them? 3 / 6 bids guarantee COE? if its as such, all the PI need to do is to give u a COE at the end of the day, but wen they bid and and wat amt is entirely their free play, unfortunately not urs. Ofcse, unless u specify to them its cat A u wanted, no less and written in black n white.

well, my deal was guaranteed COE. But they said they will only indent for me after my loan approved.

too bad...didn't get any black n white in detail.

but how to check my COE? can't find any link on Onemotoring to check that.

oh my god!

just checked on LTA website that my PI submitted the bid for my and their reserve price is $9199 and it was successful on the bidding result of $5200.

and the PI told me their COE pedge on $9000. Which means I should be getting $3800 of rebate from them.

Called them but they said no rebate for me!!!

u shd b getting e $3.8k as u mention but it mus be stated in the SA tat COE rebate at $9K. ofcse u can bang big time on their table, hoping they would relent but other than tat, suck thumb.

this is really a freak twist of fate and i'm sure a good handful of buyers would have been caught off-guard (ie. those that never put down their COE rebate on the SA)

AHHAAHAHAH... i was just joking on my previous post.. i guess it boils down to your communication with ur PI..

But outta curiousity and fairness, what if the COE does shoot up to sky high.. say $15000.. would u be willing to pay the difference?

For myself, I saved the hassle. Bought an open Category.

Cheers!

If it was guaranteed COE, then you are not eligible for rebate. Usually those 3 bid at XXXX amount with rebate at XXXX amount kind of COE deal, then you will get a rebate. ie, 3 bid at $12000 with rebate at $10000, means anything below $10k will grant you a rebate. As for Gtd COE, means die die they have to give you COE even if COE price were to sky rocket to $32k or drop to $1.

In my previous post, I said you can screw up your loan only if they gave you Cat E COE. Now that you have checked that it is a Cat A COE, you are liable under LTA terms. Cat E is open cat, meaning that the COE is not in your name and is transferrable, as for Cat A it is bidded under your name.

Correct me if i'm wrong, SA is a legally binding document and the terms and conditions behind would superscede if u did not add-in the 'extras'. Things would be different if you had penned down your additional 'terms and conditions'.

And to rx8dorifto: like u mentioned, 'they told me...' is not in black and white and unless proven otherwise (which is almost impossible to prove), its not legally binding and they have no obligation to accede.

For closure, It doesn't matter wich PI u took (i talking about the generally established PI as they are offering more or less the same), buyer must oso do their homework...... but havin said tat, we still cant dismiss the 'luck' factor. Murphy may still pull a quick one on us even wen we r most prepared ya. cheers

Rx8Dorifto bought the car at discounted price without the SE knowing what was the price his boss was selling. Your purchase is a special deal which that SE was instructed by the boss to sign the contract on his boss's behalf. He didn't know what the price his boss quoted in your email and the boss was oversea too. You took the advantage of that and told the SE to write down the price at a discount of $1000. You were too busy to make him write down your desire price instead of the COE rebate which you have claimed in your post. The SE only get a token of $200 which is not enough for the trips that he running errands for your case.

I'm writing this coz I feel that it's unfair to the SE when I heard the truth. Btw, I just got to know the SE coz I bought the car from him and I was happy with his service.

How many pple can get a RX8 Type S (6MT) @ $100k?

Are you a vincar salesman? You only have 2 posting in here. 1 recommending vincar..the other stirring ****. Maybe wat you say is true but still I believe the case have been closed amicably.
