yeap. i guess it's a good effort for those ppl who post traffic info but sometimes i wonder how many ppl really bother to rem the danger zones when driving. unless we print out a piece of paper with all the roads and reference when checking. hehe... :p
bottomline, just drive safely then no need to worry about tps.

Dun fall into all these speed traps! That's the main concern! It's stupid for anyone to give the government those fines $$$$! Not worth it! Drive safe!

Safe driving not really the answer to avoiding speeding fines....can drive "safe" and still get fined at relatively low speeds in certain areas/traps. IMO, it all boils down to luck, that is, if you're unlucky enough to be caught by a trap, your SOL.

singapore is a place where u can't do much to outwit the governement they're always rite! Now 100.3fm has update of where and when the cops are standing there shooting! Sometimes i pity the cops too! When the weather is so hot they have to stand there sweating shooting while ppl who speed is happily sitting in their car with air con! Only to get the ticket a week or 2 later! The cops are getting good sun tan haha! It's lame but I hate them!
The way they do things are so slow!!!! Crashed my car for 9mths already and my court case isn't here yet! Scrap my 8 already!!! Can drive yet cannot buy new car coz maybe they're gng to give me my court case anytime! Dun wanna call tp to check coz dun want them to flip my files! Stuck in btw! Hianz

Each point you get only counts for 1 year. E.g. Get 12 points in Jan 2001, another 12 points in Mar 2002. As at Mar 2002, you only have 12 points on your license. The 12 points in Jan 2001 are not counted in determining the 24 points limit.
2 years of point-free driving expunges all points from your license. You will know this cos TP will write you to say that you have a clean record for the year (starting after the said 2 year period). This TP letter entitles you to a discount on insurance to a maximum of 50% (i.e. 5 years).
The snag is that if you do have points on your license, the TP will tend to press charges against you for reckless driving, etc. - as this will mean your license (if the TP proves its case) will be revoked notwithstanding the fact that you have less than 24 points. This is under the automatic disqualification provisions of the Roadf Traffic Act.

Unless the police grant a permit (e.g. Kallang super sprint), or you own your own car park. If it's the latter - can invite me pls? :D :p

Exactly why
the very reason that the TP introduces speed cam is to reduce speeding violations. The fines collected are a 'secondary' bonus. By making a list of the possible locations, it nearly encompasses every major road making it imposible to avoid or even remember. Also, by setting up warning signs, it makes it possible to cry wolf and increases the effectiveness of the system using current resources. Imagine if the TP has 10 camera sets available daily, they can mount warning signs at 50 locations, what do u do when u see a warning sign? I don't think any one would second guess. All in all, speeding drivers are in a lose lose situation. The only way is to slow down. Thats why this policy is so damn effective that we hate it. Speeding kills is a fallacy. Its the sudden stop that is fatal.
