Didn't you upgrade your oil pump?

Actually pressure drop is not entirely due to longer travelling distance.....Poiseuille's Law is what u meant by travel distance is the amount of drag in the in the pipes.... ie....when u double the length of your oil pipes....the pass through rate will decrease by half....but if your oil cooler pipes is 19% larger, the pass through volume would increase by 100%... so if your oil cooler comes with a slightly larger pipes u will not get the pressure lost
one more thing...if you oil viscocsity is increased say by double ( which i don't think will happen).....the passthrough rate of the oil will also decrease by half due to the density of the oil is higher u need more force to push it through....
what influence pressure drop the most are bends and an extra area from your oil to go through...ie...the oil cooler itself.... a simple equation Pressure = force/area
more bends = more drop in pressure

anyways just my 2 cents worth of understanding

Only if you travel at night. When you are on the highway in the afternoon, the temp is still 100+~ish. Of course the air is constantly cooling it, but the temperature is around there.
In short, the drop in pressure is normal. Thanks boony
