i am driving a 2005 type e.. i was thinking of re-a turbo kit for auto initially... abt 20k and every probs solved... but... i'm not sure abt malaysian workshop's capability in tuning the car after the installation...

so... second choice is to go for simple piggy back like dastek..

 

IF it's a ready aftermarket kit, it will be easy..... No tuning is hard for local guys.....

 

Wow...2005 Type E is on the road now.Hm...If u'r talking about the capability in tuning the car after u install the RE-Turbo in malaysia.I don't think malaysian workshop have any problem wif this.If u really doubt on malaysia tuner but still got many RX7,evo,subaru n etc turbo on the road.If a same theory if u'r buying at sport shoe nike or fila which one u prefer?most of the ppl will buy nike right but at the end of the day is just because of the brand mam...so don't feel that malaysian tuning skill is lousy oh...malaysia boleh haha...So,what colour for ur car har?don't mind PM me ur contact no so when i going to johor i will give u a call then...

xx88xx, that day the sales person convince me to get a 2005 type E. selling at 200k. but they still have to register it as 2003, you know why....

how much you get yours? and did they register your car as 2003?

for a brand new 2005 car... they will get it registered as 2004... unless it's a recon car... then they will normally registered it as 2003... dun be fooled by the sales person... they will tell u all sorts of things...

by the way... new means... not showroom car... with plastic wraps all over it and max 20-30km for mileage...

i bought my 2005 type e last year for 225k. sunroof, mazda speed spoiler, factory kit, leather seat, 18 in wheel etc..

 

my car is silver in colour. i read that there's one re-a dealer in sg... may be i'll enquire the turbo kit from them... but will our auto tranny tahan the abuse of turbo power?

btw... muar is 180km from johor baru and another 160km to kl...

 

i think the hayden one is sgd120 without installation...

 

Thats why RM20k wont be enuff to play turbo.... You always need backup money for the worst....

 

Some people get 2005 AP when they got it new.... If your AP is 2004 but car is built on 2005, your car value will decreased a lot..... Thats why everybody wants the newest AP they can get....

 

Wah Lau after i post the AP issue thingy, today morning i read about sabah news paper tentang the AP Scam, the government caught car dealer tipu the customz. -_-''

Guys i had bought a book "Car Plus" magazine, Dec 2003. Hong Kong magazine.

The magazine did a road test on the our 8, on page 136.

the magazine found that "SPEED CUT" occurs when they did exceeding cornerings. it make believe that the same technology is used for the high RPM the car reached at high speed.

according to the magazine, it is adviserble to turn off your dsc (not sure whether its the dsc that control the speed cut for corners) when u are racing.

may be we can do a test high speed highway run with DSC off. see if u still get any speed cut.

aiya...I know the Hayden ATF cooler is selling at SGD120 without installation think after installation the price will be 200SGD.Do let me know the price at malaysia including installation...I know u got $$$ everything is cheap

 

what i have to said is do not buy car that under declare althought is cheaper n the car manufacturing date is new...if one day u'r unlucky and u get caught then ur car will be inpounded and u got nothing at the end of the day.

 

Just went to KL over the weekend - didn't see any other 8s on the road. Did see a silver veilside kitted 350z with the andrew bacarrat rims parking in front of Equitorial Hotel - fierce!

Lots of City and Vios tailgating/overtook me! I was cruising at 120 - 130 most of the way (missus in the car, so... )

 

Then u can contact Coupe07 (Ivan) about the RE-turbo kit.Pls let me know if u'r interested so that i can call up ivan or u can talk to him 2.I agree wif Lennon don't only prepare 20k for the turbo....Between i know where is muar coz i went there before hehe..so don't think i'm so barbarian lah n i bet so many ppls know about muar....quite famous ler.

 

Haha...i tot most of the ppl will burn the carbon out when they come to tis north-south highway but u din't!!!what a waste so u stay at which hotel?
