Dont think you can sell your underspolier, unless the person who has the same colour willing to swap with you. Cause the MS underspoiler require the OEM's lower portion to be trimmed.

Rear underspoiler

Hi there, "M-ster"

Thks for pointing out.

Yep, to all those who buys the kit fr me will have to swap rear bumper with me. It works the same when I first fitted the kit @ MM they also "cut" the underside of my OEM bumper to fit the rear underspoiler.(They , MM did NOT replace the whole bumper for me too) Guess this is how it;s meant to be installed.

Evo, dun mean to bargain down your price, but $4.5K is not cheap for a 2nd hand kit (assuming it still fits well after dismantling and reinstallation). I'm sorry, but it's not about how much you paid for it, but rather by how much one can get it brand new. Japanparts is selling the 3 items you are selling for just over $5K brand new and already painted to match your body colour. So you might want to consider lowering your price to make it more attractive.

Sqflyer, I take it as your "advice" is made with good intention.

I just checked out the place your said can get for only "$5K+" Pls allow me to correct this, the total prices fr Jp Parts comes up to S$5,200.00 + 5% for international orders = S$5,452.00 then ADD freight(Air volume weight via UPS or etc) abt $1,000.00 or more = $6,452.00 then ADD 5% GST necessary + $322.50 = S$6,775.00

So to be accurate, if one decide to buy from Jp Parts for example, he would be looking at S$ 6.8K landed. Only consolation is it will be already sprayed to choice colour.

Therefore, S$4.5K is a good 34% lower than if bought from Japan Parts. Anyway, whoever genuinely interested, pls PM to discuss or email me. I'd appreciate your kind understanding.(One fine day it might be your turn to post stuffs for sale so I'm sure you'd prefer others serious to communicate directly rather than expressing their opinions publicly)

I think the MS underspoiler need to go with your car as the two exhaust session & certain part at the center of the OEM bumper had been cut out, unless u have a way to stick them back to the OEM bumper with the cut out part from the other rx8. I had the full MS bodykit with the mirror & wing too, i paid around $8200. maybe u can try to sell your car with the kit on & try to ask for better price, i think i m worst then u as i brought my car with bodykit around $166000 back in 2003

Actually, it's with good intentions more for the prospective buyer than for you, I'm afraid.

I'm only using japanparts price as a guide and not necessarily buying from them. There are a number of people who can import car accessories from Japan at a little more than direct yen conversion prices.

When I wanna sell my stuff, I welcome open critique because it tells me what the market is like. If you are not happy with people posting their opinions, maybe you can try the classified ads instead of an open forum. Ooops... another advice from me. :o

if this is the stand u intend to take, then i tink be prepared to sell ur car with the kit on, as like wat tems900 said.

if i have to buy a 4.5k bodykit and its second hand, i tink i wld go for a brand new one, be it mazdaspeed or other brands... FYI for 4.5k, its more than enuf to buy a lot of kits with spare cash for spraying and installtion.....

so to heed or not to heed the advices from the rest here, u decide, since i tink all comments here are constructive while u tink otherwise, so all different opinions....

Cheers.

No offence taken. Sqflyer. Yes, it's a free country. You're free to voice your opinions while at the same time I have the liberty to agree or disagree too.

I'm sure many prospective buyers would be thanking you for your kind advice.

It is possible some parties are able to bring in the parts for a fraction of the JPY prices on the internet, I don't deny that.(If one chose to under declare the value though I doubt any reputable int'l seller will agree & if you ship in via ocean freight that might save you a couple of bucks)

Then again, why don't we tell MM that ppl can get it a lot cheaper than what they're selling for? So end of the day, if you're happy with them you buy else you're still free to import via whatever channels you have lobang.

Coupe 07, I will think abt your advice of selling the car with the kit. There's no right or wrong here. For you, maybe you'd prefer getting a new kit from a different brand lower priced for others.....who knows maybe they might consider my 2nd MS kit? Again its all a matter of individual opinions.

Like I said, no offence taken. All is fine

Yes, I can sympathize with you for paying $16K for it. But then again , guess you were probably the first guys to own such kit in Spore. To be first there's a price to pay......

Hi there Rotor

Well, thats the nicest thing I got from this thread so far. Guess all ppl with good taste tend to make rather similar choices in their appreciation of bodykits for RX8

This posting is for all those who maybe keen on my 2nd hand Mazdaspeed bodykit.

And to set things right, perhaps certain opinions by a select few individuals made my asking price for S$4.5K looked expensive by comments that "other original kits are cheaper" or one can get it imported themselves for a little more than my few mths old kit is asking. To be fair, we have to compare apple to apple. Certainly a RX8 is but a fraction of our Spore price in USA so why dun we complain MM is selling too expensive & we'd import ourselves? Or that at PI RX8 Auto is only $114K while MM's 6Spd manual version costs a whopping $137K now?

These kind of negative comments which are not a true reflection of the situation confuses other genuine buyers.

The ad below is by Mazda Motor Spore for a brand new kit except mine without tailspoiler which MM would knock off approx $1.2K I think. And offcourse this ad's price is with installations & spray painting. But then you'd have to wait 3 mths to have it fitted coz MM will order on request & none on stock.

End of the day, you guys seriously keen decide for yourselves.

It doesnt look expensive. It is expensive. WHY? 1. Its second hand. 2. It has to be re-painted again if car is not silver. All the while we are comparing apple to apple. No one is gg to pay for ur mistake of getting ur kit expensive from MM, who is selling at high prices. From importing bodykit, u change to tok abt importing cars. Importing cars over from anywhere is not as simple as juz importing bodykit over to singapore. Look, i'm not spoiling ur sales thread. Just to tell u to be realistic. Look at ur last sales thread on ur original MM 18in rims. 2.5k for 18in MM rims? Then reduce to 1.8k? C'mon bro...... MM rims leh....... can get $1k u can steal laugh oredi.....

U r a gd salesperson.....

3 months wait is only for MM, fyi. Elsewhere do not need 3 months.

Positively, i can see how much u wan to sell ur kit. If i were u, yes, i wld juz be as eager. I can sense some sarcasm in ur post, which is ok to me, cos it seems to be me disturbing ur sale, which i'm not. if this is a good deal, i will push all the way for u.....

juz my honest opinion.

Evo, ok apples to apples. 2nd hand silver MS bodykit at $4.5K versus brand new in any matching colour MS bodykit at $5+K. Let the prospective buy decide which apple he/she wants to buy. The fact that you bought yours from MM does not matter one bit because there are no support/maintenance/warranty issues associated with bodykits. MM bodykits are exactly the same as the ones from other importers. Same material, same paintwork, same quality, in fact probably manufactured at the same place too.

Our opinions may be seem negative to you, but it may be positive to prospective buyers. We are just airing our opinion that $4.5K is a high price to pay for a 2nd hand MS bodykit when a brand new set for a bit more and original bodykits from other brands cost less. I think THAT'S the true(er) reflection of the situation. What you do with the price you set is up to you. Like you said, let the buyer decide. We are just providing the prospective buyer with the information to make an INFORMED decision, instead of a one sided story.

Alright guys, I think there are enough of 'WARNINGS' for buyer/s (if there's any now) who might be interested to purchase Evo9's kit. Let's not make this thread any uglier. I'm sure whoever is interested will negotiate with the seller, only the seller will come to his own conclusion at what price he has to let go eventually. So stay CHILL!
