auto ones...

1. aesthetics - interior and exterior
2. handling
3. brakes
4. ICE
5. exhaust - but have to get the right ones! some are not tested on auto 8 and will result in lost of power
6. intake - same goes for intake

lohsk, see here... another one that thinks we look like monkeys and only the gals are pretty... sigh. :p Sorry for the hijack, but I just wanted subscribe to this thread with a post.

Anyway, like what you guys have mentioned, mods for the auto 8 is limited and what's available for the manual 8 may not work well for the auto 8. So if you drive an auto 8, better read here or check with the auto 8 owners before you get the mods. Some have already tried and suffered so benefit from their experience. By the way, I found aftermarket ventilated slotted brake rotors for the auto 8s. In case you don't already know, the auto 8s have smaller front brake rotors, 302.5mm compared to the 320mm on manual 8s, and not many brake rotor manufacturers actually make the smaller brake rotors for the auto 8s.

That's the one... but any DBA distributor in SG? I don't know of any RB distributor but I'm sure places like McWell or other workshops can order in for you. Just don't install at McWell lah. Still going to cost quite a bit for shipping coz it's HUGE ***, that's why I'm trying to bring back myself.

Can we install another cooler like in the manuals?

I do think the 8 is quite well tuned and there isn't much to do anymore. And alot of mods are untested or unproven. And the complexity adds to the difficulty of modding further.

Then again, its a boon as it can help me save more cash!!!

Hwah! exactly what i had in mind. Correct me if i am wrong

1) improve transmission life
2) smoother operation
3) cooler centre console (next to left leg)

Whats the damage to install one of these?

Just a note on the ATF cooler, use braided hoses and after installing it drive the car ard and make sure it doesn't leak. The first time I installed mine I noticed there was a slight leak. Apparently the hoses wasn't secured tight enough and everytime pressure builds up when driving causes it to leak a little....just a little bad experience I thought I share.

Thats what i am worried about too. I guess it all boils down to the person installing it.
