Most reliable PIs for rx8?

Hi guys,
As u can see i am a total newbie here and just joined this forum a few days ago. Am happy i stumbled across this forum as i have been very serious about buying the 6AT. I will probably place a booking by next year March after CNY and hopefully the car will arrive by June, in time for my wedding
I have done some price comparisons and test drive of the 6MT. Nothing will change my mind about getting the 6AT instead. So the question herein lies...
1) As of now, which PI do u guys think is he most upfront and has the most reliable after sales service?
2) Which is the most reliable workshop to send the car for servicing? Is it true that Monster garage no longer deal with rx8?
Need to get some views before i commit myself to owning one. I have also done a search in this forum but need the latest info if available.
I really appreciate your kind comments. Have been losing sleep thinking about the car

I did a search on PIs dated back to 2004/2005 in this forum. Someone mentioned something to that effect. Correct me if i am wrong

Bro I've tested out both the 4AT and the 6MT...the difference, especially at low revs is HUGE.

Not too sure about the 6AT but I would not think it would be a huge increase in performance over the 4AT.

The 6MT tho is a different beast alltogether...and the sheer joy of sliding the stick into second gear and flooring it is insane. Course it will do your FC no favours but who the heck cares?? You should see the grin on my face after - its almost as good as sex lol.

Course the down side is if you get stuck in a jam...but the clutch really isnt that heavy at all and is really easy to get used to. And here is one little party trick that the AT can never quite do....second gear wheelspin under hard acceleration. Wont do your tires any good but again I dont give a rats *** - its just too much fun!!!

Either way or whatever you choose - welcome to the club in advance bro...you wont regret it

Yeah i agree man... the 6MT drives me crazy but the FC will drive me crazier. So i am sticking to the 6AT instead. Wat more i have to ply by the CTE everyday...so if i drive the MT, i will be damn pissed at the constant traffic crawl Me saving up now for a huge deposit for the car by this June. So hope the GST wont increase! wat car u driving by the way? where do u service and buy your 8?

Mines a MM 6MT that has just turned a year old.

I'm confused. Normally the AT's are the ones that suck up more gas than the MT's?

Bought mine from the showroom and I service it with MM itself so my warranty stays intact. Sometimes when I'm lazy I take it to the Sin Ming authorised workshop and service it there.

Its black, and stock except for my rims which I changed to 18" chromes. Really regret doing that as the maintenance on them are killer (I autosoil them every weekend lol) - at some point I'll change em to gun metal grey ones.

Plan to change my intake to the Revi on everyone;s recommendations and add front and rear sway bars. Complete exhaust system to come later.

Putting down a huge downpayment is a good idea bro...just remember not to gamble with it during CNY and you will be fine!

not too sure if GR can be considered as reliable ? At least i heard that they take responsibility for RX8-recalled the last round !

Their price will be on the high side if I'm not wrong. U might want to give them a ring to check it out.

** i'm not related to them in anyway , nor did i got my car from them ! it's just heresay only.

I ordered mine from GR. Will be getting it this friday. Apparently they claim to be amongst the first in spore to be getting the 6AT. Not sure about that. But for sure, their service is very good and prompt and they did take responsibility for the previous recall and changed the part for free.

Frankly, it had been a great pleasure buying from them. They do try their best to cater to your needs and June is very patient. I will not hesitate to recommend them to you. Their price may be on the slightly high side but actually, they were able to secure a very special deal for me only available for the first batch. Incidentally, 2 weeks back, they had their first 6AT in the showroom which was still available. Grey colour. U may want to call them to check. May still be available.

Thanks for the input man. Really appreciate it. Wats the price of your 6AT? Huayang quoated me at around $93888 with one year warranty with i think 3 years of free labour (or is it 1 year? cannot remember). Sorry for being ignorant but wat does GR stand for? u got June's contact? thanks bro once again!

No problem. Hmmm...actually the price from Huayang does seem pretty good, i must admit. Perhaps cos it is the second batch, that's why it is cheaper? Anyway, i bought from GR (Garage R) at $99800. But the price includes Bose 9 speaker sound system, leather seats, fog lights, advanced keycard and keyless ignition function. Not sure if all this adds up to the difference of $6k, but, like i said, GR was very good in their follow ups. The car was delayed for a couple of months but it was not really their fault as the factory in Japan delayed the production.

Furthermore, GR has their own service centre and June's sis seems to know the Rotary engine pretty well. At least, no need to stress over which service center to go to. U can contact June at 91058213. Tell her Victor recommended u. If she is not sure which victor, tell her the victor who will be collecting his stormy blue this week....she will know.....i bug her all the time!! Ha ha!!

Yeah the HY car doesnt come with those accesories u mentioned. The problem with HY is i think the aftersales servicing of the rx8. I don't think they are good with the rotary engine.
thanks for the contacts man. Will give her a buzz soon.

Was at GR to see the grey one on display and the keyless entry and bose sound system. Really tempting to get from them, but me want a red one and they say earliest will be feb before they get their next red 6AT one

Any bros know if any of the other PIs managed to get in the 6AT already because I believe GR's also arrived only about 3 weeks ago....

Bro Fluid4, your PI managed to land any of the 6ATs already or not...

Cheers

I have done some price comparisons and test drive of the 6MT. Nothing will change my mind about getting the 6AT instead. So the question herein lies...

I really appreciate your kind comments. Have been losing sleep thinking about the car
