Coupe07, how does the bonnet damper look like? Similar to the celica one which adheres near the wiper?

It replaces the existing hinge for the bonnet - so u don't need the bonnet 'stick' to hold up the open bonnet.

Yo Coupe07 - sorry to spoil u surprise! :p

Boot? R u referring to strut bars? Well I do have the MS 4pt strut since the day i got my 8. But i dont have the rear one. Thus, since i got my strut from day 1, i cant tell the diff if it makes any diff. And since then, i've decided to only mod the car a year later (which is about now ), so then can tell if the mod makes any diff....

As for sway bar, they goes under the chassis, hook up to the wheels. I feel that the 8 has lots of body roll, so hoping to reduce it with the sway and spring.

I've got the Revi as well that shall be my weekend DIY.

As for your lady... you keep my secret, i'll keep yours :D

Hi,

Anyone tried Whiteline adjustable solid sway bars? Is it available in Singapore? I heard they are the best.

M-Ster, do give us a review after your installation! Folks in the US have been raving abt it, so hopfully should be pretty good here as well.

BTW did you go direct to Racing Beat to order? Thought shipping from US is a killer?

hey ringer,

i did check out whiteline as well....

from their original Aussie site, i found that they have a representive in Malaysia, but no response from them since i wrote to them (twice)... so i just forget it.
And the freight alone to ship the front and rear sway to Sing from Aussie is $340!
Thus decided to go with RB, cause i wanted the revi as well.

Yes, me went straight to RB, just shipping, GST and miscellaneous fee is already close to S$600...

ok, will do a short update if the revi lives up to its name here with our JDMs...

the REVi is, IMO, over hyped..... many raved abt it becos everybody says it has no problem with our rx8.... but try it on, and u try other intakes, the feeling is similar......

i had it on my ride for 2 months oredi...... i still feel previous intake was similar or slightly better.... but previous was cheaper.....

my opinions only..

previous intake was K&N typhoon. sound was impressive. performance was comparable to revi, if u noe how to maximise the air flow.

end of the day, u will come to realise that all air intakes are similar....

as to some suugest that hot ait will be sucked into the fiilter, my take is the air intake is not a vacuum. it WILL NOT suck in the hot air. air goes into the filter when the car is moving and when the car is moving, cold air is being taken in. When ur car is not moving, the intake is not taking in air cos simply becos the intake is not a vacuum. U need to induce air for the intake to take in the air.

Revi is so raved about cos of the very nice design..... end of the day, its juz another air intake. It oso has the idling prob which most intakes have with our rx8. So i do not see why it is so different from other air intakes.

the reason why the check engine light prob that pple keep saying abt the k&n is becos they did something to their cat. If u do something to ur cat for our 8, even the best intake will give u the check engine light problem. and k&n happpens to be the victim......

my humble opinions...

there is a way about fixing ur air intake to maximise the airflow. I have told the bulk of those whom i always met at the gatherings. If you need more info, pls dun hesitate to let me noe. cheers

not really, M.

the one that u pointing is the VAFD duct, which is the "pipe" that i asked most of them who installed intake to remove so as to maximise the airflow. theres 2 pieces of long black plastic (flexible) that is on top and below this VAFD, as told to u over the phone earlier. U remove the one below, so that airflow from ur underscoop can come in as well.....

PS: i tink my styrofoam is still there.... i wld have to check it out... cun really remember.... cos i changed my whole bumper.

pls do not hesitate to call me if u need to see my car.
