K&N confirmed the withdrawal of the existing Typhoon intake system for the RX-8. The new version with a circular filter encased in a round CF housing will be released "sometime in June" but will take another 3-6 weeks for distribution before it hit the shelves. So that means I won't be able to get a hold of 1 while I'm there. KNS!!!

Revi Installed

Installed the Revi last weekend, so have been driving around with for a week now. Well, I guess like wat 07 mentioned, think the intake does get over hyped alittle.....

It's ok... I guess, it revs a little more eager, I do feels that it can pick up a bit more than stock on high gear (5&6). The sound around 3k rpm is quite nice, but once driven pass 5krpm, the rotary sound would have mute out the intake sound. Havent got much chance to drive it hard enough.

For those who'r thinking of getting might wanna wait out abit, it seems like RB is working on an attachment (CIA) to draw in colder air...

cheers

yeah, the reason y it is so over-hyped is becos its made by racing beat.... and they supposedly cun be very wrong since they have tonnes of research on mazda cars, more so on the rotary........

having said that, i'm not saying its not good, once again.

Its relatively horsepower gain is negligible, but driveability of the car becomes much better as with most open pod, and of cos its so much better than stock filter box, i stress again, on the driveability.....
