Thumbs down Petrol price increase again

Damn it. I was just back from Taiwan and just realised that petrol price has been increased! I left my car with the sound installer and half tank gone from tuning.

We are at the bottom of the developed countires list and yet we pay more than most of what other developed countries pay for the same product. And we refine our own fuels too. 1 litre of 98 is currently selling for NT$29 or S$1.50 and when i was in the states and aust; petrol prices were comparatively lower than in SG.

Here is a alternative. Fill up the next time you eat at your local zhi-cha stall.

Nothing really very new; its not really uncommon to see a biodiesel or veg oil vehicle in some parts of europe.

Did hell break loose? When i was in mel last year, it hit 90+ aussie cents and people were complaining and taking pot shots at the gov. Highest i saw city area was $1.03 before the 3 cent discount from coles.

Now its 1.53!?

Wah... only sound tuning (our shitty stereo i guess needs a lot of work) and 1/2 tank gone? Sounds like the movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I can't imagine how much in fuel it will cost you whenever you send your car in for a oil change!

Its not surprising that the 8 drinks alot on idle. Other bros who sent their cars for audio set-up or tuning have also experience the same thing.

And heartache was that the tank was full of caltex platinum and not silver.

bro,

frankly i think your auto acc guy took yr car for a spin.
did u check yr mileage before you left yr ride with them?

either that or he left yr car running from day to night...which is
unlikely any sound tuning will take that long. 1/2 tank is very extreme.

it's very common to see some garage, auto shops take the customer's ride
buy things, buy food, drive home etc...

juz like what low rider said...ferris bueller day off.

I left it with him on monday night and i left for taiwan on tuesday and i collected the car on thursday.

Never really checked the mileage but he did assured me they would not drive my car. After all they are quite a reputable installer and our 8 is nothing new to them.

Hi Emperor,

Side track a bit - mind if I ask you which audio specialist you go to (since you mentioned they are accustomed to RX8s) ? Or you can PM me with more details. Many many thanks..

Close to inking my 8.. Cheers.
