Hey Spider, looks like you've quite abit of mod done up in your car already since you've got. Nice looking ride!

Question:

what's that red button on the passenger side glove box? don't remember seeing it any where else.

Did you spray the rear OEM lower bumper, or is it some bodykit? The mesh too, is that re-spray or aluminum mesh?

Thanks

red button is a engine start button but is connected to the horn for my girl as she always complained that i dont use the horn at those errant drivers that cut into our lanes, hence i fixed a button for her to horn at them then

yep the bumper had been resprayed, the wire mesh is orginally carbon coated and is widely available in Singapore

I hope that's just an ordinary start button instead of the original mazda's button.
Anyway where did you get those guages fixed up. They look pretty neat. One reads Oil Temp, what's the other 2 for?

cheers

guages are done by a friend, customised job all the way, oil & water temp and oil press, this car is really heaty man, NA but produces about 100 degress of heat at the oil temp.

100 for Oil temp??!!! That's boiling man!

I believe all the cars on the road (type S) has only 1 oil cooler, wondering if we need to get one more just like what Europe and US is getting to cool off those oil just a bit. Maybe even looking into a more effective aftermaket oil cooler soon.

Spoke to a few ex-RX7 owners, seems that 100 degrees is the norm for Singapore, doing some mod to my radiator and oil cooler soon and will be happy to report any difference later!!!

100 degrees seems alright to me...my old Golf VR6 normally ran oil temperatures of between 98 and 103 degrees for normal running and up to 110 after a hard run. No engine problems all the way to the end of 10 years.

Modifying your radiator?? Thats interesting...keep us posted!

was trying to create a little gap between the radiator and aircon condenser and place a extra fan between them for better colling like wat alot of RX7 owners do, cant be done!!!!! mech told me this car is way ahead of its time, he dont even want to touch the wires unless he has the full wiring diagram hence nothing done guys
