Problem with Radio receiver??

Hi every1,

My radio receiver is giving me a headache now. For 8, I noticed that the radio FM freq is from 76.0 - 90.0. I was told dat I have to add 10 to the freq channels dat I am tuning to (i.e Freq 83.3 = Yes 933, Freq 85.0 = Class 95).

2 weeks after I got my 8 last month, the receiver became "normal". Freq 88.3 = SAFRA's DongLi 88.3, Freq 85.0 is no longer Class 95 but Freq 85.0 which has no channels. So for me to listen to MediaCorp's Radio channels, which are all above Freq 90.0, I've to use my mobile phone instead

I've sent to my workshop n they said that the frequency converter (which was brand new) was faulty n they got it replaced. 2 weeks later, the same problem arised n I was told to get the converter changed again.

Did any1 encounter the same prob? Or is my prob due to installing a 12 disc changer which uses the Radio Frequency to listen to my CDs.

there is a add 10mhz and a add 12mhz converter. maybe you have the 12mhz one after the change. the 10mhz is better. but it cuts off at 100mhz so you cant get anything above 100mhz. but for the 12mhz. its up to 102mhz.

yes MM is a euro model whereas 6MT PI and the autos are JDM models so the radio frequency is different.. correct me if I am wrong...

imo the 10 or 12 khz converter is definitely not good enough. if yr car is still under warranty, u can always go back to yr PI to get a new one. but like u say, if you want really good one...either change headset or get digital radio....anyway i feel local radio sux...i rather get ipod connection and listen to mp3....no point listening to ppl talking **** on radio.

my 2 cents

well, warranty is only for a year. If i keep going back to change the converter, it's also very troublesome. I think I'll let it be. Anyway I only listen to the traffic reports :P
