Hi Chester,
Glad you make RX8 a dream car of yours. When economy turns bad in Malaysia, rich dude has less effect. Just that less earnings and profit which puzzles the rich. But for lower income people, bad economy can burden their weight over their shoulder... But hey, RX8 is just a middle class people's car....we're not talking about Ferrari or Porsche arent we..
1)RX7 is older and cheaper than RX8. RX7 range RM60,000 to RM110,000. New RX8 cost around RM200,000. 50 litres of petrol can go 330km. Road tax cost RM181 (half for next year). Service includes the oil, filter cost RM300 (depends on the oil you choose). Insurance cost RM7000.
The rest of your questions are a bit out of topics and purposes this forum is setup for. Pls rephrase your sentences.

I really don't know where to start,
Question 1
RX7 and RX8, which is cheaper....., well, rx7 is an old car and you can tell by the number following the letters "RX"... 7 being the number before 8 means RX7 is the older car. Very simple, has been like that for decades, and I doubt it'll change any time soon. One can infer, the RX7 is cheaper, unless you buy it from my friend mike, his rx7 is really really cool.
In tiny dot land (Singapore) its about 100K for the Autos... 130k for the Manuals.... I think... we pay for it by getting a loan, we put a down payment and then we pay the bank back plus interest. Very simple, has been like that for decades, and I doubt it'll change any time soon.
As for the cost of oil, I can't help you there, because opec, katrina and local countries subsidies differ. But we manage 360km per tank load for city driving and 450km for north south driving. You do the math
Servicing, road tax and insurance..... Servicing should cost about $200 to $300, road tax is about $700 odd bucks, insurance about $2000... cheaper is you are older.
Question 2 / 3
Some here are fat old business men that have grown their businesses and have decided to get a fun and sporty car so that they can cruise around town with their many girlfriends while the wife is out of town. Simple and sophisticated. Not too flashy, yet not too vulgar.
Some here have daddy and mummy to help. After months of begging and trying to show what good boys and girls they can be, they simply get a spanking new rx8 for their birthday. Vroom Vroom. Showroom to zouk, sunglasses at night kind of thing.
Some here are runners that do collection for the local Ah long... you know the usual stuff, toto, 4d, dept collection, horses, football etc. Since they are too far down the rung, they only have the autos.... so one hand on the steering wheel and the other can wind down the window and collect the money. Always ready to run. None here sell drugs because rx8 cannot run fast enough. Turbo not yet ready. maybe later.
Question 4
Catch no ball.
The rest of us, well, we save, work hard and dream, like you.

Q 1
Malaysia RM200k with RM181 for road tax. We in SG are paying S$760 a year for tax and its considered cheap for a car here already. And not forgeting maintainence is not cheap here. ERP, parking, fines, petrol. So consider yourself lucky already...
Q2
Normal hardworking person
Q3
Not that i am rich. But consider this: I have been working since i am 11 years old, believe it or not. So i worked hard for my money.
Of course there are some people who have the extremely difficult job of stretching their hands and collecting money from their parents. Great job but its more glam that i am paying for my own car and my dad gets to spend his own money on himself.
Selling drugs will not make you rich. Even if you can make alot of money from drugs; can you spend in peace?
No one is ever rich until he is content with what he have; and who is?
Q4
The only pressure i get is that we pay like fools for cars here. eg. My cousin in Las Vegas owns a Mercedes AMG for US$50 and fully pays it in 3 years and gets to drive it for the rest of his life. We get milk like cows and yet only get to drive 10 years on a tiny spot of land with draconian laws.
Either work hard and smart for money or be content with what you have. There are worse off people out there.
