Replacing the stock Head Unit

I'll be getting the 2 DIN radio replacement unit. Anyone interested?

Mazda RX-8 2 DIN

i noticed changing to the 2 DIN headunit face eliminates the clock button and the amb temp button and some other required button?

Not sure about those buttons or if I ever need them again.
This is what I plan to do...


The scangauge would have the inlet temp indicator and the radio would have a clock.
Plus the DVD can be played onto my center dash LCD and rear LCDs.

Or else get the Clarion 2-DIN DVD MULTIMEDIA STATION WITH TOUCH PANEL CONTROL

BTW, I'm not selling it, but we'll get a special price if more ppl were to buy.

Steering Wheel Controls

Good news: just got an email saying that there's a device which will let us retain the steering wheel controls.

Not so good news: it's an option we have to pay...

bro pm me the prices for all the above product inclusive the option product which you mention that can allow us to still use the steering wheel control

The steering controls work with a certain brand of HU or compatible with any brand?

Airspeed, check out Alpine's new 2-Din HU. Don't know if it's out yet over here, I was told that it is on the way. It also supports direct connection to iPod, I'll post up a link when I find it.

the alpine's 2din dvd is definitely available... i fixed one in my honda stream few months back.. btw the ipod extension is an option...
