dude...in my own word.

TIKO - ONE guy who has a habit of eyeing the opposite sex hoping that they can score

TIKOS - TWO or more guys who have the habit of eyeing the opposite sex hoping that they can score

Usage(Tiko) - The tiko from rx8 forum kept looking at the girl
Usage(Tikos) - The tikos from rx8 forum kept looking at the girl

Adding a LAO to the word TIKO adds extra horsepower of the TIKO. Like the word hero. You add the word SUPER to it...hero becomes SUPERHERO.

many ways to use the word LAO.

LAO GOH
LAO PEH
LAO BU
LAO CHIO
LAO CHEE%#$

Hope you have a better understanding after reading.

OMG this is such a good thread.

Very educational in many fronts

RXbabe: In general sense, any thing that does not extend more than 28mm outward (calculate from stock) is ok.

now stock is 18 x 8 + 50 offset.

now each number of offset, it extends outward by 1mm.

My Enkei is 18 x 8 +40 - it extends 10mm outwards.

Now if you want a Volks CE28N in 18 x 8.5 + 38.

It extends 12mm, but in addition, the extra 0.5" goes both size. So there is another 0.25" (or 6mm) extension. So together it is 18mm extension from stock.

To be on the safe size front should be less than 22mm. Rear can go 28 I think.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIT A WHEEL EXTENDS 30mm OUTWARDS?
It hits the fender guard each time you hit a kerb, pot hole and even turning slowly

ask taka. he did post something like for 18x8 max additional offset is 28mm. so stock being 50mm you can push it to 22m before you rub.

What about 19" rims?

f: 19x8.0 +40 = 10mm
r: 19x9.0 +40 = 22mm

or

f: 19x8.5 +45 = 11mm
r: 19x9.5 +45 = 23mm

Should be ok rite?

Looking at G-game 99B or Volk TE37 but i wonder what is the price?

i answer for taka. partially correct. cause the unknown factor is the tires. not all brands 225/45/18 are made equally. some are wider than others.

My rear rim offset is 38, and it hits my back fender...... Offset 23 will need a wide body.....

But what is the width of your rims? Offset of 38 may rub with a 9.5" but would not rub with an 8" wide rim.

Then with 9.5" rear width wheels, what is the best offset recommended?

Lennon's 9.5" wide rear wheels with an offset of 38 results in a 30mm extension from stock. That is calculated by 6mm for each 0.5" wider than stock rims (6 x (9.5-8)/0.5 = 18mm) plus offset difference from stock (50 - 38 = 12mm) which adds up to 30mm (18mm + 12mm). According to what Taka posted, rear can go up to 28mm wider than stock. So that means 9.5" wide rear wheels should go with an offset of 40 or more (bigger the offset number means it protrudes less). However, do you really want to be a couple of millimeters from rubbing your fenders? Not all tires are made equal, some are slightly wider than others. Just for your reference, the manufacturer for the set of rims I'm looking at recommends an offset of 44 for their 9.5" wide rear wheels.
